They will still conduct the interview, but may hold the visa until the CENOMAR can be verified.

You can't get CENOMAR from anywhere except NSO. Try to call the NSO again ask them if they can do something to speed up the process. I just request mine online and they sent it to me 3 days after.

Good Luck!

Unless things have changed, that hasn't been required for a long time. It had been if the embassy wanted to know, they would submit a request to the NSO. I always thought it was a good idea to pick up one anyway at least for the U.S. citizen to not be hit with a surprise later to find out their fiancé is married.

If the embassy sees the need for a CENOMAR they will order it. The embassy won't accept the CENOMAR from the beneficiary, too many fraud documents floating around.

CENOMAR can be released after 2 weeks i just got mine from NSO in Pasay city...Some who had gone to interview said that sometimes the CO ask them that certificate and sometimes don't.But if the CO holds your documents for AR the Embassy itself requests for the CENOMAR directly to the NSO...By The Way, is your sister in K1 route too?!

Things HAVE changed. The CENOMAR is now on the checklist from the consulate for things to bring to the interview for K1.

Hum, I just looked at the Manila link and don't see CENOMARs listed as required documents. Do you have the link to where CENOMARs are required for the bendficiary? I like to keep my procedures updated. Thanks

Here is the link I was looking for and I can't find anywhere in there the requirement of providing a CENOMAR. http://usembassy.state.gov/manila/wwwfivk1.pdf

Can someone point me to a link that states the beneficiary should bring a CENOMAR to the interview?

Thanks
