I'm 99% sure MOS wasn't on the drodown list on Sept. 4th! I don't know how you found the Appointment Pocessing List page that you did, but they certainly did change the list there but not the date (as MOS is on it too!)... I would think the same probably goes for HLS, but can't be sure of course because that embassy I haven't been watching and hasn't been of particular interest to me... The source? The lookup webpage is very simple; go to it; do View | Source, and find the embassy list. Only the hyperlinks with 8 in them are Standard NVC Processing now, the rest are appointment processing. This is actually how the lookup function works too!

Siiiiigh... now the question is, if this will affect our case or not, as we are right in the middle of a transition period. If the updates didn't exist the 4th, and not even at the 8th (this is Google's catche date, I just checked it), the question is was it in effect the 10th when our DS-230 was generated or not? As it surely was in effect the 19th. This leaves us a 11 day period where everything is unclear (last time they updated the date July 13th and as they mostly update their lists in the middle of the month, it's likely that this list was also updated around then). I'm really pissed right now .

I also checked this page with Google cache and on the 3rd neither HLS or MOS was included on the AP list. It's indeed a very recent change.

Dudes, did you guys miss the bit where I said I called the NVC and the dude put me on hold for ages and told me that for my case it didn't matter, all I had to send in was the DS-230 and Biographical information page? I'm almost sure that there will be some sort of a cut off date. Though it's possible that they were wrong, I would still call the NVC anyway and pester them and see if we can get any kind of information out of them that will help people know whether or not it's still safe for them to use the shortcuts without risking an RFE.

Call them and ask when your embassy became an appointment post instead of a standard processing post, try to find out if there is a cut off date that would let everyone know which cases will be affected!

Take action and get us some information!
