I said maybe. Is this a regular thing? An everyday thing? An occasional thing? A "this week sucks" thing?

You can't judge by the amount, people who must have a single glass of wine a certain number of times in a period of time can be an alcoholic if this person can't be without that one single glass of wine with that regularity, even if it's like once a week or a few times a month.
