On her visa is a card stapled and stamped class k-1 admitted nyc and next to this stamp on the same card is a departure number and below it is a I-94 departur record. On the back of this card on the first line is says ( warning ) a nonimmigrant who accepts unauthorized employment is subject to departure.. My ? is ? can she work with this card ?? im gussing NO but reading several posts about comming through jfk it seems like to me several are automaticly authorized. Thanks for any info in advance Kerry

When my then fiance came through JFK back in April they stamped the I-94 "NYC 32 Employment Authorized: (Date)" then they hand wrote the date and A#. Do you have this stamp? If yes then she can work.

In the past, Yodrak wrote this to me in a e-mail:

"An I-94 with an entry stamp marked 'K1' is not an acceptable EAD for I-9 purposes.

An I-94 with an entry stamp marked 'K1' and with a stamp or handwritten notation saying 'employment authorized' is an acceptable EAD for I-9 purposes.

Yodrak"

I hope this helps

thanks ,, There is nothing stamped on this I-94 card in her visa stating anything about being able to work. But there is an A # on the back of this card below my name and city as the petitioner.. So i guess were not as lucky as some others that recieve this work stamp through jfk. Thanks alot for the quick info.
