Hi everybody...

I got a question... 2 Days ago I got a RFE on my AOS that I filed in July, I do know what kind of papers they need from me, but there is a sentence on that letter about my work permit and I'm just not sure what they mean... Could someone please help...

It says... You are ineligible for interim employment authoriyation pursuant to Title 8,Code of Federal Regulations, Section 103.2 (B)(10)(ii) until ninety (90) days after the missing initial evidence is received.

Does that mean that they are gonna take a break on my work permit until 90 days after they got all my evidence?!?!?!?!

Don't worry about the 90 day thing. If you respond quickly most likely you will still get the EAD within the regular processing time. Usually the delay is only as long as it takes you to reply to the RFE.

Sandy Cheeks,

(As said above, get it back quickly and it won't/shouldn't be an issue )

May we ask, what documents they requested?

I also got an RFE, responded next day.......updated online that they resumed processing my AOS within a week. I'm still waiting for my EAD, 97 days and counting....have scheduled an InfoPass appointment with my local office for tuesday Aug 28th to see what the hold up is. I guess i'm just one of the unfortunate ones or maybe CSC just forgot about that my EAD has been sitting there since it was transfered end of May. Normally, EAD's are processed within the regular processing time!

Sure you can ask... ;) We send our I-864 and since my husband is a student now the affidavit of support didn't have enough on it, so I got to have a joint sponsor. But I already got one and all the papers for it. Just need to copy them and send it off on monday.

Btw, thanks for all your help!!!!!

Always nice to be prepared...

We got an RFE (for the I-485) for a (translated) birth certificate on Friday. Replied with (yet) another copy of our international birth certificate on Saturday...

Good luck to us all..
