Hi,

I am a citizen residing outside the US, and I don't have an income, so I won't be able to use income for the affidavit of support. I do have assets, but they might not exceed the required 3 x 125% above the poverty line figure, hence I would need a co-sponsor. Could my co-sponsor also use assets or does the sponsor have to use income to supplement my assets for the requirement?

Thanks

Yeppers, you need a cosponsor - the cosponsor alone needs to then meet the guidelines (without your assets), though he/she can count his or her own assets as part of the affidavit -- you still need to submit the affidavit as primary sponsor though, don't forget that. I'm sure people with more experience will also reply to your post.

Good luck, L. :goofy:
