that is surely the death penalty? why keep a monster like that alive? he cannot be reformed and therefore is no use to society.

some here would argue that point i'm sure.

Charles, left wing compassion only goes so far. Now if it was a woman under duress from poverty and strife then of course things would be different.

The Arizona Republic

The father of a Mesa infant beaten to death this week has been charged with second-degree murder.

Two-month old Gregory Friederich was pronounced dead late Friday afternoon after being taken to a hospital with a fractured skull, two broken ribs and a lacerated liver.

The injuries were consistent with shaken baby syndrome, officials said.

Gregory McMillan, 21, was re-booked Friday on suspicion of second-degree murder in addition to the two original counts of child abuse from his Wednesday arrest, police said.

McMillan told police he lost his temper Tuesday night while caring for his son. He said he swung Friederich violently, striking the baby's head on a crib, officials said.

He then broke several of the infant's ribs while changing his diaper, pushing his son's knees forcefully into his chest and face, police said.

When McMillan's girlfriend returned home that night, police said he confessed to choking her numerous times during an argument, straddling her and putting his hands around her neck.

He said he told her to be quiet and that he didn't want to kill her, police said.

McMillan then transported Friederich to Banner Desert Medical Center, telling officials the baby was lethargic and would not eat.

It's simply horrific to think that these thing actually happen and basically for me around the corner. It's only 15 miles away. Unbeliveable. :crying:

Jesus opposes the death penalty...does he lack compassion?

Bringing jesus into your response is weak! your baiting is so obvious. Please be more subtle next time.

can anyone suggest even one good reason why this monster should be kept alive?? If we put him in prision it will cost the taxpayer, and I for one do not wish to donate to that cause.
