My husband bought a car today...I just had to share with people who I think will understand :) .

We're both really happy.

My hubby couldn't have bought the car without me (my credit) since he doesn't have credit - only a couple joint bank accounts. But that was no big deal - and he feels like it is his (since he'll be driving it more).

I'm glad because my husband got his EAD and then in a few days got a job and now the car - he feels much better here.

Congratulations! It's a great thing to be able to do that. That's been one of the harder things about being here for my husband...the "no credit" issue. But we knew all this from the beginning when we started down this road. We're waiting and hoping he'll get this FT job he's applied for (and had TWO interviews!) before we try and look for a car.

Enjoy the new car! :D

Yea, we waited until my husband got a job before we bought the car. But we had to do it soon since I carpool and that means every other week I had to drop him off at work then go in the other direction - that was 4 hours a day commute for me!! Ahhhh, horrible...

Now I can leave my house an hour and a half later

Hubby just traded in his Ford explorer (engine locked up, got it fixed) for a quad cab Dodge 1500....its too high off the ground for my wee legs  i havent been able to get into it since my surgery a couple of weeks ago.......surgeon says no stretching, bending, etc etc.....i'm doomed for the next couple of weeks  wonder if i should invest in a step ladder in the meantime!
