When Long Process causes stress Due to NVC

Oh No what has happened?? Maybe she is just having a bad day or something. We all go through that and this process is long, stressful and yes it really sux, but we have to stay strong and keep our Faith!!

I am sooo sorry to hear about this, but please don't give up and just try and talk to her. I mean look how far you have come in this process. Just talk to her and be positive , let her vent if she needs to, but don't give up so easily Jigi!!

Remember the time you got your DS230 Case Complete? I bet you did not expect for that one, did you? It will come my friend, you'll see.

You can either call DOS or your embassy to see how far they are with the interview scheduling, so you'll pretty much calculate your timeline.

How can your timeline says that your interview is in January 2008 if DOS or the Embassy hasn't given you interview date? I hope your interview date is before January 2008. My timeline is pretty close to yours. My case got completed on Oct 26th so hopefully soon the Embassy will have my case.

It is very frustrating to deal with day in and day out. When you see other couples who are together it makes you even more sad. You just have to try and keep your head up no matter what. I will never take my husband for granted after he is finally here with me.

The Embassy has given me the Jan 2008 month Interview date..... one of our indian friends dimp_123 , her case got to embasssy on oct 11 and she got interview date of Dec 17..... my case reached the embassy on oct 16.. so i got date on Jan 3 2008.....

Call the American Embassy Jay bhai to find out , interview date.

Well to be honest i try not to think about it. Yea this fricken process puts TONS of pressure on both of us. But we are getting this through with patience. It is happening and -damn it- we don't have anything to do.

I can really relate to your post as well. My husband and I have experienced much stress due to our prolonged separation. It's just no way to start a relationship. Even a good portion of our honey moon back in December was spent discussing such issues as NVC and the feasibility / possibility of future visits.

We should count ourselves lucky I suppose. Just barely, we could afford to fly somewhere to meet in order to even have a honey moon, but I just don't envy those couples years ago who didn't have the tools we do today, e.g. skype and so.

It's hard to see the silver lining through all the paperwork and transparent agendas.

For my husband and I, the process has been very stressful, but I think in the long run it has brought us closer together. You know, most people never have to go through what we all are going through. They don't have to fight to be able to live with their spouse. Maybe the reason there is so much divorce these days is that people take for granted having their husband or wife there with them, and what a precious gift that is. I know this process has made me appreciate my husband even more because I had to fight to be with him.

It's worth it in the long run. We just have to hold our heads high and push onward.
