Good to hear there are some news.

Iyahata: Congratulations on clearing the FBI namecheck. I read the review of your interview. That was a huge list of question. Nuts! Anyone would start messing things up with so many precise questions. Not very fair of the agent in my opinion, especially since you have 3 kids together (like that's not proof enough). Well at least you're through with that.

n+alisa2006+l: Congratulations. How did the interview go?

JohnK  Ok, no problem. Let me know if you wish to be added.

Nyte: best of luck on your interview.

Miles: So you can work now :) Good to hear it's going smooth.

bradcanuck: At least they haven't changed their mind :P

thank you, Cecy! Our interview was very smooth, well, almost. We arrived at 10.00, it was long line, but at 10.30 we were inside and at 10.35. my name was called. Our officer was very nice man. The first he asked for were IDs,got my I-94 from my passport, and started asking all information from applications, 3 yes/no questions. When he checked all applications,it take about 20 minutes, he said: "Well, what do you have with both of your names on?"

We said we dont have anything, just some envelops with both names from friends and family, magazines, daughter s birthcertificate(it still don t have my husband name on it, but he is father),pictures. He checked all this stuff and asked if we have something else. No, we did not.I already was thinking it is the end...

But he said to my husband to give him his... wallet. He got everything from it, and checked each piece of paper. Here happened a miracle! He said: " oh, I found what i was looking for." It was old receipt from my engagement ring dated two days later after my arriving. He made copies of everything what we had and stamped my passport with I-551.He said congratulations and we left. It was very nice officer!

he also asked if we had a lawyer,we said no and he said that he suprised, because all paper fill out very good. So, thanks for help VJ.

(sorry for my english)

Thanks Cecy

I am just so glad that I did not get stuck in FBI name check. At the end of that interview I was very disappointed and I figured it was up to her whatever she wanted to do. I pray that you will receive some good news very soon. Thanks for updating the list!

n+alisa2006+l It's good to hear that IO can be nice and work themselves on finding the proof they need so they can approve you. I'm glad it went well.

Iyahata It sounds like they didn't even check if you had passed the FBI namecheck or not since you received a letter of approval so soon after.

I hope we get news too. You're welcome for the list, I figured everyone would be happy to see some movements and even better approvals added on it.

Well what she actually said was that I needed to pass the "final security check" so i am not sure if she meant phase 3 of the FBI name check process, or if she just wanted to look over my case. Also she did say that if I waited 2 hours, that they would have been able to let me know if a decision has been made on the case. But I wanted to get back to my children, who were with a new babysitter that day. So i told her I will wait for it in the mail.

Hello,

I had my interview yesterday in Baltimore.

We were with the IO for about 15 min.

Just like you I was recommended for approval.

He said thet he will have my file review by his supervisor and if everything is fine,I will get the GC. If not they may ask for furthur info.

I ask if my name had clear the FBI. The IO said that everything look good.

I asked for a stamp in my passport because I never received my work permit and he says he could not do that.

Where am I..... I feel like I am in limbo.

My girlfriend had her interview in the same day as well and got the same result.

Can anyone let me know of other case like that?

Chalk up another successful AOS. Our interview was today in Spokane. It was really more like a formality. He took passports, removed I-94's (wife and daughter) asked the list of mandatory check-off questions, then asked what I had to show him with both our names on it. I showed him bank statements two utility bills and company medical benefit cards and that was all for any questions.

He had to look for our daughter's medical because it was in my wife's file. He asked for the I-693a envelopes from the Civil surgeon, opened them and put the files back in order. Then he did whatever he does on the computer, including correcting the Country from Taiwan to Mainland China, announced the computer accepted everything, so expect your green cards in the mail.

All in all a very pleasant experience.

We had purposely delayed filing AOS for 11 months after their arrival so the interview would fall after out second wedding anniversary and they would receive the 10 year green cards. That worked perfectly for us.

Good luck to all.

And just for good measure, there's only one carpenter I take advice from. I don't need warped advice on my visa process.:devil:

Congrats pat001 and pushbrk

As for us, it doesn't look like the interview will be anytime soon.

As of Decemer 14th, the Charlotte Office was processing June 3rd application, one month later they are at the June 11th. :clock:

Our NOA is dated July 24th...

I think it's a good thing we are not planning the big family wedding in my home country.
