Quick question, all. In your case, which email from CRIS came first? Card production ordered, or Approval Notice? I just find it weird that they told me last week that card production was ordered, and just now I got an email saying case was approved... shouldn't approval come before card production?

sorry that i didnt write sooner about our interview from hell but yes we have to go to another interview in aug 2008 because our AO didnt believe in our relationship since my husband was had been incarcerated in his past and in her mind a lady like myself wouldnt marry somebody like him (those were pretty much her words!!!) .... we have been officially discriminated againt ... oh yeah she didnt even bother to look at ANY of our evidence!!! now that i call job well done on her part .... sorry but i am still pretty upset about all of that mess!!!

I am so sorry to hear this. How long did your interview last? Did she ask you guys any questions at all?

maybe 5 minutes and after she asked if my husband was a USC she sworn us in and asked the first quesation if we were ever arrested and from there it went down the hill ....

So your husband is the USC, and had been arrested before. So all that information was already in your file, right? So she knew the answers already.... Was the crime that your husband arrested for minor? (I'm not asking you to elaborate what the crime was, that is none of my business...)

It has been a really long time since I wrote - so here is the update - very late. My husband had his interview in Garden City, NY on Oct 17. She told us that he passed while we were there, she didn't give a stamp in the passport and the card arrived in the mail on Nov 5. - that is the short of it.

whatever the crime was he did the time for it and basically paid his dues .... it was minor and NO reason whatsoever for her to go off on us like thaT!!! and yes she had all that one file since i even sent in his release papers and all but still she felt like NOBODY should be married to a criminal or rather love one .... it was such a slap in our face .... i wrote the congressman to see what he could do cuz i really would like for the supervisor of that woman to know how she discriminates without even looking at the evidence we were suppose to bring in (which we had plenty!!!)

Final update for us (this stage anyway). Cheryl was approved at the 10/19 interview, pending FBI name check. No stamp in the passport, of course. We were lucky, the name check only took a couple more weeks. She received the welcome letter last week, with approval date Nov 7. The green card arrived yesterday, Nov 19. No emails from CRIS, though the website did finally update today to say an approval notice had been sent on Nov 19.

I'm sorry to here this MsA. It's quite stupid of her. It reminds me of igomon's testimonial where they were discriminated because of age difference (they were directly put on a separate interview).

And you have to wait until Aug 2008 for a new interview? What the heck is wrong with this people?

As you said, whatever he did he already paid for it and it's pure discrimination not to consider your case because of it.

Give a call to an immigration attorney and see what they tell you on the subject. This doesn't sound right at all. I hope your congressman can do something. Good luck with this ####### and keep us updated.

Well we now have an interview date for January 24. No RFE for the medical or vaccination supplement but the interview notice lists them as things to bring. I'm wondering whether they'll want a new medical. Our priority date is about three weeks short of a year after the medical was done, so don't know if a new one is needed or not. Since there's a civil surgeon working at one of the clinics on our medical plan, maybe we'll try just getting most of the work done as preventative care and get the CS to transcribe and sign off.

We will need to get the vaccination supplement done anyway.

FYI, USCIS Case Status shows no touches since the biometrics were logged in on 8/17. No email, no status changes, just the interview notice.

For anybody who cares, our plan was to delay filing AOS until about two months before our second anniversary, so there would be only one interview resulting in the 10 year green cards for wife and daughter. We ended up filing two months earlier than we intended, in order to avoid the increased fees. Both already had EAD and SSN's. We are thankful for the delay but any interview after November 30, would have done the trick.

Thank you and congrats Miles, I got approved back in June but my boys had their interview on Nov 15 (I was a bit nervous because I didnt have an interview my case was sent to California and approved there).
