Hey all-

My wife got a strange message on her vm this afternoon telling her that her residence interview is scheduled for this Friday. Is it odd to get a phone call for the initial interview without any kind of paperwork (ie receipt or interview prep)? Also, she didn't say what to bring, just who my officer is and the time to be there...in 48 hours!! I'm freakin out just a little as I like to be prepared, has anyone else gotten notified this way?

Quick question, all. In your case, which email from CRIS came first? Card production ordered, or Approval Notice? I just find it weird that they told me last week that card production was ordered, and just now I got an email saying case was approved... shouldn't approval come before card production?

You can't rely on the CRIS system to do anything sequential... I had my paper NOA in hand and notification from NVC of my case transfer to the consulate before CRIS even updated that the petition was approved.

Anyways, even though he didnt take the I94 from the boys passports, he did say we should put their names on the mailbox in order to get the green cards (and that we needed to wait).

Hi July Filers!!! I had my interview successfully yesterday .I arrived one hour ahead for my interview appointment and I saw a numbers of AOS people that seems conquered some difficulties from USCIS decesions. Even they have the lawyer with them, they took a long interview. Oh ...I was really frightened and nervous! Because I saw a couple that was interviewed separated with her spouse.Then suddenly the officer called my name and we followed him to his office. My husband and I was very surprised that our interview lasted only for 5 minutes. Thanks GOD!!! My name check was cleared and simply the officer only asked the BC of my son and just took a glanced to my photos. I had with me a thick files of documents and evidence but the officer did'nt ask for it.Nor asked some related questions from my case.Just a plain biographic informations was questioned. Before leaving the room, I askedabout my pending EAD application because I received a letter for second biometric appointment and he answered me ... It is up to you to decide if you will go and take it becaause I am giving you now the I-551 and this will allow you to work and to travel starting today. Anyway,I'll just go and take the second biometric for EAD coz' I think there's no harm of doing it...how about you guys???what's your opinion with this? Do I have to take the code2 biometrics and still wait for EAD card or no longer need for it???? Thank you guys!!!! I am proud to be a JULYFILERS! You are a part of my success too! and Goodluck for the rest of VJ AOS filers...

I haven't been on in a while, and see all the great news, awesome! We have our interview coming up soon (less than 2 weeks), so I have to get going on preparing the documents & proof.

I wouldn't wait for the EAD, you don't need it anymore since you have the I-551. However you might as well go to the biometrics appointment just in case. You have an appointment with them so it's best to show up I would think. Especially if you don't have any issues when it comes to going there and all that.

bradcanuck: Is the NOA date the date written on the noa or the date you received it? I ask because it doesn't make much sense given that they received your application on July 5th... I have a NOA date of July 24th and mine was received on the 16th. let me know, the mistake is easy.
