I seriously hope this isn't a problem. I camed the DL office yesterday and they said that they were pretty sure that having his EAD wasn't I repeat WASN'T enough to get his DL. I am hoping they are mistaken and that when we go with all our documents that this will be enough. I was looking on websites all over to get validation just to perhaps print it off and bring it with me, but no such luck!!

Oh well...we will work it out hopefully!

How is the new job coming???

(woohoo..first paycheck comes in for chris this week yay!)

Sorry I haven't been on in a while... It's so stupid that they don't let you get the DL, what's the point of being allowed to work if you can't drive, it doesn't really make sense in the country like the US where a car is pretty much mandatory.

I hope you can figure out something. Try calling the Asheville DL and see if they tell you something different (sometimes different offices do things differently).

Oh well at least he can drive with you to work for now.

New job is exciting. it's my training week right now. I know that it's going to be hard to be on my feet all day and repeat the same things over and over, but the staff is great, very friendly and welcoming, so that's really exciting. I like getting to meet new people. So we'll see once I start the real thing. I'll keep you updated.

Glad to hear that you got transfered. I guess you're unlikely to get an interview.

I'm glad I have plenty of work to keep my mind busy. I don't really think about the Green Card. I look forward to it of course. I wish we would get an interview date sometimes soon, but I know Charlotte is a busy office, so I don't see the point in stressing about it. As long as I can work and bring money in so we can make projects... I don't have to live the country any time soon so I can afford to be patient.
