we had our interview on Friday and I got approved!

Sorry I haven't updated the timeline in a while, I've been a bit busy.

I have good news too though: I have the second job i was hoping for. Amazingly (for me) they offered me the job at the end of the interview, and even more amazing: I interviewed around the same time last year for the same position but they were not intersted because they don't bother with work permits. Well guess what? The guy who interviewed me back then remembers me, he was obviously disapointed that I couldn't work for them and he is actually the guy who is going to train me. Do I feel special or what?

I also now have most of my papers (bank, DL and SS(on its way)) in my married name. No excuse anymore I have to remember it and I was pleasently surprised that my DL is good for as long as the previous one was, since I already had a DL they didn't check immigration papers or anything and I won't have to go back until 2013 or so. Yeah!!! (I heard that some people only have it good for as long as the EAD is valid).

3 days left to find a new car (nuts)... Anyone selling a Subaru Impreza in WNC?

Hi everybody,

I just got married to U.S. citizen and Im originally from the Czech Republic. My Green Card application is still pending and I have a question that I need an answer for. My husband and I would like to go to Czech Rep. next year to visit my family but the problem is my passport will expire next year on July and I need to renew it. Where do I go to renew it? Will they give me another czech passport with NO visas, just the passport with my new name on it? Or will they give me american passport? Also, do I have to wait untill I receive the Green Card to apply for a new passport? How long will I wait for the passport?
