Trust me! I've been rushing to the mail bax at least 4 times today! Finally I can extend my DL! lol! O and for the record, I can access my case on the USCIS website.

I though you needed the EAD or Green Card for that... Let me know how much of an extension they give you. I'm curious.

:( mine isn't online yet. I guess it really shows that there is no rule when it comes to that. It's probably up to whoever works on your case and whether they feel like typing the news on the website or not.

Just got back from the DMV and they extended it for a year (from the date of NOA1)

We just go our interview letter today! It is scheduled Sept 26th.

Our only problem is that my wife's due date is October 9th. I don't how she will feel this close to having our baby. The USCIS office is about an hour away from home.

Good luck at the interview! I'm going in for a csection October 10th and I'm hoping to have our interview appt before then. Hey one can hope right?!? Our local office is also about 1 hour from us but I'd rather go while pregnant then have to worry about taking a newborn!

Dean, I specifically took out your NOA1 date, waiting for you to reply to my post asking you for the actual NOA1 notice date from your NOA1. It would be highly unlikely that you have a receive and notice date or 7/10/07. Almost impossible. Please verify your actual NOA1 notice date again. Thanks.

Not sure if you are one still updating July AOS filers or not, if so here is our info if not sorry for bother. :innocent:

We filed(mailed) 3:57 pm July27 and AOS application was received in Chicago at 1:37 am July 29, 2007. :dance:

The paperwork supporting these forms/applications is unreal, just like K1, it took several full days just gathering everything, requesting, copies made, then putting it all together in folder to mail. Had to be over 100 pages of stuff in there. :(

Had heard rumor that this was all supposed to go electronic and online in future soon, I just wonder if anyone knows or has heard this also. :hehe:

With regards to your filing, since your received date is July 29th, I'm almost certain you'll have an actual NOA1 notice date of August. So you really belong in the August thread. But when your NOA1 comes and it shows a notice date of July something, then please do come back here and post your info. We'll certainly include you in our timeline. :) Good luck.

Does it depend on your local office how quickly you get the bio appointments??

Yes, since the biometrics are done in your local district, it definitely is affected by how busy your own local ASC is. My local ASC seems to be quite busy and AOS filings are taking about 6-8 weeks from NOA1 date to receive their biometrics appointment letters. But the good news is that it seems interview dates are about 2-3 weeks after the biometrics appointment dates. So that's pretty fast. But that's just in my district. You'll have to do research for your own local district to see how long it's averaging.
