They cashed both of my EAD + AOS checks! But still no NOA1.... At least I know they took the $

Still no biometrics appt. here... I got my first NOA for EAD/AOS on 7/27. Does the letter come from a local office? If so, I assume that nothing is updated in the case status until after biometrics is completed?

Not sure if you are one still updating July AOS filers or not, if so here is our info if not sorry for bother.

We filed(mailed) 3:57 pm July27 and AOS application was received in Chicago at 1:37 am July 29, 2007.

The paperwork supporting these forms/applications is unreal, just like K1, it took several full days just gathering everything, requesting, copies made, then putting it all together in folder to mail. Had to be over 100 pages of stuff in there.

Had heard rumor that this was all supposed to go electronic and online in future soon, I just wonder if anyone knows or has heard this also.

Still no biometrics appointment either, I just went to the mailbox . Our NOA date is almost the same, so to be honest it makes be feel good that I'm not the only one with a 23-24th July NOA who doesn't have biometrics appointment yet. Come on little letter, get in the mail already!

I'm just afraid to get it like 2 days before the appointment or something!

You know, I wonder about that.

Although I checked several posts with people who had their biometrics at the same local office that we have and they had their appointment less than a month after the NOA. So it's hard to tell.

The postmark date of my NOA1 was 7/27 but I was touched on 7/30 - do you think that its because a bio appointment was scheduled and the appointment letter sent to me on that day?

Who knows with touches. I still can't access my case online. But it can mean anything: from appointment letter to the files being moved to a different desk. Don't try to understand too much from it.

It seems that it can take up to a month to get it.

Well I guess I better find something to do while I wait...

Thanks Cecy. I don't have a problem with waiting as long as it doesn't mean that it'll take longer for me to get the EAD. Hopefully the days between biometrics and ead approval is shortened to make up for it

I just gotta say....I was counting the amount of July filers WOW! "54" of us and one common

goal! we all got in just under the wire!

Well, given that a due date and the date of birth are rarely exactly the same... you'll have to wait and see. I hope she'll be fine, and remember that a baby is pretty much the best proof you can bring of your relationship.

Igomo: Same here. I guess we all pray for a speedy process, but it's true that everything is case by case. I mean you can compare the NOA dates without any problems, it starts getting tricky with the biometrics, but when it comes to the rest then all the rules cease to exist with USCIS.
