Cécy, if it's any consolation, I filed for AOS with the Charlotte office back in July around the same time as you, and haven't heard anything at all yet. I just came here on K1, nothing special about my case. My receipt number hasn't been entered in the system so I don't know what's going on! Pretty frustrating, because when I check the AOS timelines for Charlotte it looks like some who filed months later than me have already got their greencard! Anyway, as soon as I see the Charlotte processing times change to mid July, I will be chasing them up too!!!

I had my interview on January 14th, and was verbally approved. The next day, I got the email welcoming me and saying card production was ordered. However, I have yet to get the card in the mail. My lawyer called them and they told him to call after it's officially been 60 days before submitting an inquiry. He was told that the backlogged system probably caused it, but I've seen that a lot of people have received their cards. I wonder whats the hold up with getting mine.

Please update our timeline. GREEN CARD ARRIVED IN THE MAIL TODAY. We received welcome letter yesterday and card today. As I said in my last entry. NO INTERVIEW. We are done for two years. Whew. Good Luck to all of the July filers still waiting.

Congratulations on all the recent completions. Do carefully inspect the card for any errors. Hopefully my wife's is the only one with an error. Corrected cards seem to be taking only 30 to 60 days now.

Cecy - No, nothing real interesting. Spoke to a gentleman who said he was putting in a electronic request as to what's going on with our case. HE said we would hear back within 30 days of April 9th (they had until the 9th to actually read the request). However, today we recieved a letter in the mail and I am so not happy about it. This is what it stated.

"The status of this service request is:

Based on your request we researched the status of this case. We are actively processing this case. However, we have to preform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not recieve a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months of this letter, please call customer service at the number provided below"

Ok first off, what the heck do they mean by performing addtional reviews?!?! We were clearly told by the woman giving the interview that as soon as the FBI name check cleared, she would approve us. Please tell me that's what they're getting at. I read on here someone recieved a letter stating they were waiting on their background check and since ours doesn't clearly state that as well...makes me a bit nervous. And as far as waiting 6 months...I think not! Today is day 133 since our interview. You bet ur a$$ that on day 180, if nothing has been heard otherwise, I will be contacting the, regarding the new "rule". I am just so not thrilled right now.

they sent the exact same letter to me and I have not had an interview yet. It confirms what I thought: this is just a standard answer when you bug them enough that they pretend to do something.

So I guess the answer is: it means absolutely nothing!

I sure won't wait 6 months either. I look forward to see the dates change on the Charlotte office processing dates. Although i feel it won't be by much again. I plan to call every 2 months just to feel like I'm doing something.
