Congrats Cdancer.

I'm waiting to get some news from Bjjamas to update the list. They have their interview today.

Some news from us.

I received a DHS envelop today. I was excited but a bit doubtful because it didn't look like their usual envelops. I was right.

I made an inquiery back in early February (seems like an eternity but it's only been 20 days :wacko: ).

Here is what it says:

"Based on your request we researched the status of this case. We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 7 months of this letter, please call customer services at the number provided below"

First reaction: I'm impressed. I didn't think they would actually do anything specific to check my case, even less send me a letter. Although it doesn't really answer my questions.

:reading: Additional review. Makes me wonder what they are looking at (not that there is any way to know), and if it means they have doubts about our relationship or even if we should expect extra questions when comes interview time.

Finally call in 6 months if you have nothing. Yeah right. As soon as I see that the Charlotte office is processing petitions that were filed as the same time as mine; I'll wait 30 days and call again. :devil:

Well at least I got a letter... I can put it in my Immigration file.

Hello everyone! Congratulations for all those who got approved.
My INFOPASS last Feb 15 was just fine. The lady said to wait, everything looks fine and it will take 6 more months to process since they are only processing Dec. of 2006 applicants. :

She said, if I didnt get my GC on June renew my EAD!!!! Wait! Wait! Wait!

Washington DC office please hurry up

I am glad to see that our name is still on your list since I dont visit here regularly. Update: Have gotten email from our congresswoman saying that name check and security check are done and clear. Case was sent back to CSC and we are supposed to hear something again by the first week in April. Fingers crossed. Congrats to all that have received greencards and strength to us that are still waiting 7 months and counting. :wacko:

FINALLY!!!! APPROVED TODAY FOR GREENCARD!!!!
PLEASE MARKED ME APPROVED ON THE JULY FILERS LIST!

Hi VJers! Today was my day!

Very nice Lady interviewed us asked the typical questions.

A lot of things I prepared for and was not asked to show.

we did the oath, and then asked us to sit down.

She asked for the typical documentation, typical evidence of dual names on receipts

She asked for 3 wedding pictures, confirmed my name, address, parents names.

she asked how we met, when we got engaged, asked my husband the date we got married

and the name of the wedding chapel. How I announced to my family since we eloped,

and how they took it...LOL

at this time...she verbally said she would approve me!!!

and mentioned I was the only one who was going to be approved today....WHEW!!!!

she then took my EAD card and removed the I-94 receipt from my expired passport

and then stamped my new passport with the I-551 stamp YIPPEEEE!!!!!

WOW! this process has been a long 18 months from start to finish!

I am so glad I found this forum. I am very thankfull for all the help I have received

along the way. I couldn't have done it without all of you and this forum!

According to Bjjammas timeline they got approved. I haven't had any update from them, but I will consider the Timeline to be true.

Yes it's for those who applied in 2007.

So to make it more understandable. In December 07, the Charlotte Office was processing the June 3rd applications...

But I do fell lucky that they took the time to send something. At least they are not using my application to dust the desks :innocent:

Cecy, I was hoping to check back in and see some movement on your status. I can't believe nothing yet. Well, not nothing - you do have a letter that at least shows they recognize you, which has to feel good... but still!

Yes it can be frustrated. At least I'm not the only one and I know my office is always a busy one. It's way behind on the dates compared to other states around us. Oh well. At least I'm with my husband, I have a job (and a good one), and I'm not afraid of being kicked out of the country because I know I followed the rules.

I guess I can be patient a few more month...

My plan is to call USCIS every 2 months or so, just for the pleasure of hearing their voice, to feel like I'm doing something, and maybe find out if I cleared the FBI namecheck.

I kind of expected it to take longer to go through than those who come here through K1 or K3. More scrutinity when you come as a visitor is to be expected. As long as we are together I can be patient

Cécy, if it's any consolation, I filed for AOS with the Charlotte office back in July around the same time as you, and haven't heard anything at all yet. I just came here on K1, nothing special about my case. My receipt number hasn't been entered in the system so I don't know what's going on! Pretty frustrating, because when I check the AOS timelines for Charlotte it looks like some who filed months later than me have already got their greencard! Anyway, as soon as I see the Charlotte processing times change to mid July, I will be chasing them up too!!!
