Jup1ter and Cecy the 3 of us are on the same boat. I never heard anything from USCIS after I received my EAD on September. My NOA date is Jul 5th, too frustrating since no update no nothing even RFE. My online status is just RECEIVED and PENDING no transfer to any local office or whatsoever.

Tonight I filed for an INFOPASS for February 15 at 8am in Fairfax. So far I got a job but we can't move if we do not have GC. VA DMV is really strict, they wont issue you a state id, drivers learners permit. Wahhhhhh!!!

me too, I applied for a state ID but I was refused coz as to them, I need to adjust my status.

hmm that's weird because I was able to get my state id right away when I got here in US. Just gave them my passport, MC, BC and my hubby's driver's license. I wasn't able to get my driver's temporary permit right away though since they require for my SSN and we're on K3 so I waited for my EAD first, have everything done now though.

was reading some post and it bothers me when i read about their passport had stamped on after interview(I-551 somethinglike that)... now i'm wondering why our passport has no stamp on it???? Does everyone get stamp on their passport? Our interview was too quick just asked me the name of my parents, then some yes/no questions and if it was my signature. After that, he ask what do we have that shows both our names on, he just took the joint account statement, then he photocopied our passports and took our I-94. Then he discussed about applying for the 10 yrs GC and becoming US citizen after 3 years. Then he told us to just wait 2-4 weeks for our GC, umm he actually didn't even ask proofs for my daughter since she was also their for her AOS. Though we gave to him the finalized adoption and the new birthcertificate... Are we really OK now by just taking the interviewers word that we are approved? ...gesssshhh this stamp thing got me confused really...can someone clarify this for me please.. thanks!

From what I understand most offices no longer issue stamps in the passports. Some people have been able to get them at some offices while others have been told that they don't do that anymore. Hopefully you will get your green card within the next 30 days after approval. And if you are signed up with USCIS.gov they will email you when the card production has been issued. No need to stress over the stamp.

I don't suppose it's any reason for concern but I hadn't noticed anybody mentioning getting email From CRIS indication I-485 approval. First we got card production ordered email on the interview day and 4 days later, now a week later approval notices. I was expecting welcome letter notice. Is this order of notices routine or strange?

Yet an other fruitless call to USCIS. Hey this time they didn't tell me I had to wait so many days to call back... Maybe I should harass them every day

My case is still under review at the NCS. No RFE or anything needed it seems. I tried to obtain information about the FBI name check and I was told again that they can't tell us that while it under review and yada yada yada. He said he would make an inquiry at the IO to do it and give me an update on my case. No idea how they plan to contact me or if they even will do it.

Oh and the guy told me they received my case on July 15th (a Sunday lol) so I was right to do my reverse countdown from the Monday it was officially at the Chicago LockBox I guess. 202 days in counting. Patience, Patience, Patience.

At least I'm lucky my case is not visible online so I can actually talk to a USCIS IO and not the misinformation line people who can't tell you more than the USCIS website does.

Lots of updates in the list because I went back to check on everyone who had not been approved yet and didn't give any updates. A lot of them ended up being approved. Some details of what's going on for all those waiting at the end.

Also, I'm thinking of moving all the people who haven't been on visajourney since the end of October to then end of the list in an unactive color. What do you think?

Hi Sis Lira, goodluck on ur upcoming interview. I will keep you guys posted bout my INFOPASS on the 15th.

I think it varies per state, here in VA if you apply for state id it's only valid same as your i-94 date. So after that i have to wait for GC to get one.

Green card arrived February 4. Shows Taiwan instead of People's Republic of China. 11 days after interview.
