Completed the biometrics today. It was pretty easy and painless beside all the driving and waiting. I let a review there: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/ (Charlotte NC) so it can easy be accessed for future members.

One useful thing: I saw on a previous post that a person got asked for her marriage license since none of her IDs had her married name, so I brought mine and I think it was a very good idea, because when I offered it the welcoming person said that yes it was needed. It doesn't matter for guys, but for girls it sure does. :) It doesn't hurt to have that extra paper.

I remembered thanks to Jup1ter that the A number was on the NOA (& biometric notice as a matter of fact), so that was easy to find. Filled in a paper, waited, got all my fingerprints taken. The agent asked me if I liked my picture and there we go, I was done, ready to drive back home.

Now I'll just wait until we're transfered or get an interview date and of course for the EAD.

Don't hesitate if you have specific questions. :)

Glad that is over! Continued success for you my dear!!

Ours is saturday!! whoohoo.

Get around Charlotte okay?

Hello,

I need help, my husband went through the boiometrics but now I received a letter from the immigration telling us that they need initial evidence, which one is visa petition that is filed from me. Unfortunately I do not have the letter that they sent me saying that they approved the petition I lost it. If someone can help me about this I would be grateful. I don't know why they need the letter they have everything there. Anyway I thank you in advance if you can help me.

Yes I believe you have to wait from the time you are approved until you get your green card. I "think" that I read on VJ here that during that short time you cant even travel on AP :(

Glad to see interviews are being scheduled. How come no CSC transfers yet?! I looked on the other monthly threads and it seemed that people were receiving notices of the transfer as soon as a week after Biometrics.

I still can't view our case online :crying: but I'll leave that whining out.

Oh NOOO i thought that was the case, was hoping i was wrong, never expected to get the interview that quick, and the thought that i might get stuck in FBI namecheck for weeks/months and i wont get to see my girls before xmas will break my heart, dread to think what it they would think about it. suppose theres nothing i can do about it.

I was able to see my case online the day after the biometrics, havent been any good tho as ive always had letters thru before its changed on the website.

Just an update for those that still can't access the system to check on their case. I called USCIS today just to see if my case number would work there, since its not working online. The first representative couldnt find it, and said "dont worry they probably got your case and are probably working on it" all the "probablies" did not reassure me, so she said she'd transfer me to an immigration officer. Oki doki, the next person was very vague about the case, but was able to find the case number. When I asked why I can't access it online or the other USCIS person can't locate it either, he just said "theres a glitch in the system." So i said, glitch, meaning for everyone, or my case specific. He said it varies. what an answer.

I mentioned that some "friends" (by friends i meant my VJ peeps) were able to see their status online after biometrics and that I still can't. He said he'd make a note in the system. But honestly based on the conversation, it didnt seem as though my case numbers were going to work, or like he was going to press some special "update" button to activate.

So for the rest of us out there who cant access online, we just have to be patient and harrass the heck out of our mailman :)

hi, it seems that we are sharing a similar timeline for AOS/EAD/AP. I cannot check the case (all AOS/EAD/AP) online even after our biometrics appointment. However, we received and responded the RFE last week to the USCIS. And viola....i can see my AOS online few days after that ....but not EAD and AP...so i guess 'patience' is the key here...good luck to all of us!!!
