Same here hun, I am so disgusted with these sods, I sent email to Rep yesterday and got to thinking about it and have now just sent an email to Senator. Hey two birds in the bush better than one.

Angry and getting more angry. What the hell are they doing> Oh yeah, on holiday.

I'm lucky that I get to spend the Holidays with him. We've decided that if we have nothing by the time I get back on the 3rd then I'm applying for a UK visa.

My thoughts are with those of you who still have not received an NOA1. I can't believe that people who sent in applications in August are still waiting to hear from USCIS.

I get so many people asking me when I'm going to be moving to live with my husband who just stare at me in shock when I tell them it's likely a year away due to immigration processes. I'm sure they think I'm lying about the extensive wait times and lack of information!

Hun,

Enjoy your holidays with him, wish I could but work prevents this from happening for me and he cant step foot in the USA until this whole thing is over. There are times when i would give up the sunshine and warmth just for his warmth but since I am the sponsor, I have to work to met those guidelines - Have a great trip and hopefully someone will wake up in California this coming up Friday and not say manana manana.................................

I think I get asked when Kevin is coming here at least once a day and I swear I'm on the verge of screaming when I get asked that. I know my friend and co-workers don't know that USCIS sucks but it's just a constant reminder that he isn't here. Like we need another right, can I get an Amen? :clock:

We haven't received a THING! :( I called a little over 2 weeks ago and was rudely told that we were not in the system. I then asked the guy about the processing timelines on their site and was told that was just an 'estimate'. I don't know if he just didn't want to talk to me or if he was just a jerk. Our 90 days is on the 29th and I'm going to be patient and call next Monday if my check still hasn't been cashed.

Not a bad answer, I was told "oh dont pay attention to our website" and that was from a cs that was pretty honest. FFS.

I don't even bother with looking at their processing times anymore. If it's not accurate what's the point? I have a very strong feeling that I'm going to end up in Scotland. That was our plan originally but we changed it because my parents were not emotionally ready for me to leave. I told them over the holidays that the chance of me leaving is high. They were upset but I think I made it clear that my place is with my husband. I love them very much but being apart from Kevin is killing me a bit each day. :( I know the holidays were not the best time to say anything but I didn't want to spring it on them and I hardly see them in person; and this is news that can't be told over the phone. At least I didn't want to do it that way.

Anyway back on topic, USCIS sucks! haha

I know exactly how you feel. I just got married (no one in my family knows though ...yikes!) and I have been with my lovie 7 years before we got married this summer.(since my senior year in highschool!) . They have never understood our situation, no one has. I get asked every day since I think the past 6 years ...where are we going to see him? when are we going to meet him? why isnt he here? How come you can go there and he cant come here? I have had to give explanations like you cant imagine, Lately though since the holidays are comming and I am not going to spend them with him, I have been very very emotional. Its hard when people ask about that every single day! Family members, co-workers, friends etc. I try to keep it in and not tell him how much its bugging me and how emotional I am getting but its just there and I sometimes cant hide it. I am very frustrated with the wait and with the unwanted questions. So I give you a double amen on that.

Isn't it great that we have someplace to go and people truly understand. I know my friends and family say "oh that's so hard"., but they don't really know how hard it is. I know I can come here and go on about how depressed I am and people know what I really mean.

I'm really sorry to hear that some of you don't even have the NOA1 yet. This is INSANE

We should appeal to the media or something. Writing to senadors and congressmen isn't doing it. Maybe USCIS needs some pressure from the public.

A lot of americans that I talk to, think that they can marry anyone in the world and just bring them in right away... a lot of people have NO CLUE about how difficult it is to take a loved one in the country. One might think that this is a serious restriction of your freedom. Specialy to those who are not around to watch their babies grow.

Elberth,

There is another thread about a reported from the Washington Post who did a article on this whole issue and I asked peeps to email her with some stories of their own and the more peeps that did this ...just maybe....we can get some attention. The thread was under Hershey Kisses being sent to Vermont USCIS. Try to email her - if you need her email addy I can research it and send to you. Just email me from my profile.

COME ON PEEPS - waiting for a congressman/woman or Senator is like waiting for the IRS to audit you sometime in your life.... ya know it may happen it may not, but usually the answer is not good.

Cheers
