USCIS Application and Receipting Update

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) advises customers that, due to a tremendous increase in the number of applications filed, processing of fee payments and entry of cases into our tracking system is behind schedule. As a result, applicants can expect notices of receipt to be delayed. USCIS is working hard to deal with the increased volume.

Delay in fee processing and data entry will not affect an applicant's Change of Status or Extension of Stay eligibility if all other eligibility requirements are met. USCIS continues to process Premium Processing Service requests within 15 days.

USCIS will honor the actual date that an application was received in our mailroom; this date will be indicated on the receipt (in the Received Date box) when Form I-797, Notice of Action, is mailed. Until this situation is resolved, USCIS will provide these weekly updates on progress in issuing receipt notices to our customers. We appreciate your understanding.

As of September 28, 2007, USCIS has completed initial data entry and issued receipt notices for applications and petitions received on or before the dates indicated:

I guess those of us who sent our I-130 to VCS will have to wait for at least 60 days before NOA1. Soooo disgusted by the process.

:clock:

Our I-130 application arrived at Texas 27th August...still no word from them, nor have they cashed our money order. It's so weird, the longer it takes the more paranoid that my wife and I become that we filled something out wrong or sent it to the wrong place!

Does anyone know anywhere that sells Bottled Patience?

I haven't got our NOA1 yet, but went online to see my cashed check and got our WAC#.

I logged onto the USCIS site and saw our case was received 9-10-07.

It was mailed from Thailand 8-8-07 by my lawyer there and I was worried it went into limbo from; being sent to the wrong PO Box/ sent from a foriegn country/ sent via FedEx not USPS... etc.

Also, we sent both the I-129F and the I-130 together to the USCIS (see my sig line) and requested 'Direct Consular Filing' on the I-130.

My lawyer in Thailand reveived a copy of the receipt notice Sept. 19, 2007. I haven't got anything yet, just the cashed personal check.

It looks Vermont Service Center is not processing any I130 for 3 weeks now.

It still show they processed 7/29/07 which was Sunday and I don't think they were working on Sunday

On USCIS site said they were helping with N-400 and other importing forms that makes I-130 is a secondary

We were thinking that ours possibly got lost or something...would have to wait 90 days & start all over again. Was getting disheartening, wasn't it?!
