Hun, why wait at least let them put a tracer on it....they did for me at the 90 day mark. At least it will give u some comfort knowing they are working and not having a coffee break. Wait sorry there, actually I think they all are working their tushes off, its the government that couldnt get it right.

I have had great conversations with both their CSR's and Immigration Officers, dont believe what I have heard, but you may be in the sytem and NOA1 just could be lost in the mail. Dont wait, call, the more the merrier.

Cheers

I called them up today and the representative at USCIS advised me to wait for another month :(. Thanks for the advice though.

Darn sorry hun, but a friend of mine here called today and made sure he got an immigration officer and not just the Customer Service Rep - they are doing a trace for him also as for me. And your timeline is longer than ours. Dont wait, at least call back and do the trace, what can it hurt?

Cheers and hope you get some news soon

I talked to an immigration officer about an hour ago. I was told that my application was probably in a box sitting on the mailroom floor and he wouldn't do a trace. :(

Susie: This is a thought. The reason they may have put a trace on yours is because you are going through California and their processing date for NOA1 is 8/30 and yours was received before that date.

However, for someone like Sahil, hers was mailed to Vermont and Vermont is only working on 7/29 receipt dates and she didn't mail hers until July 31. She should be hearing something very soon.

I wonder why they wouldn't do a trace on me. Nebraska is supposedly current but my I-130 was received on 8/29 but nothing so far.

Nebraska and Texas are not current -- they do not process I-130's. They are either sent/transferred to Vermont or California. It was probably transferred to California.

i sent my application to nebraska and they transfered it to california... that caused some delay too

those of you who are upset about not having the NOA1 because your appl are in vermont, should look at the positive side: vermont is WAY faster than california... just look at the processing times graphics

Well what the heck - called Immigration Officer today at USCIS in California - had to laugh in order not to cry with what she said to me. Great conversation as always and some humor, but what got me was this. I was fishing for information as to where they were on progress with applications and she said she did not really know. BUT...they had a staff meeting yesterday morning and even the material for that meeting was outdated and about as useful as their website updates - Again another one confirms please do not go by website updates as to processing times and working on such and such applications at this time.

I have a feeling that she is right. sigh :crying: They are so swamped they cant even move between the boxes and boxes of applications. I am not saying this to make people upset for some will be on course, some will wait longer than normal. But to have a timeline is something I dont think will exist for quite awhile for us people that filed after the "RUSH".

I know its going to be a long journey, a very long journey I can accept that, what I cant deal with is our own government does not know what is going on.

Oh well off to lobby for our rights tomorrow - wish us luck in our journey!

Cheers

I'm right there with you. I at least have a countdown until I see him, however we were married in July and I came back to the states on the 31st. It's 4 months since we were together. It's difficult and trying but he is definitely worth the wait.

SusieK: GOOD LUCK!!!

Yeah thanks hun and enjoy your trip big time. Its just frustrating but at least this morning another VJ and myself went to see Glen Beck and presented him with the immigration nightmare. I am the liberal, other VJ is a conservative, gotta luv two political parties joining forces.

Glenn took our emails that we had printed out, and hopefully something happens. We wont give up. My friend is about two weeks after me in the same canoe with I129 and I130 in California, and no receipt not in the system. He did make me laugh yesterday as they now have put a trace on him twice - lol - gotta luv USCIS.

Have a great holiday and yes its been five months since I saw my husband and he is so darn stable and patient with me, but enjoys the fight in me. Hang in there all, someday they will find that box and start working on it. But in the meantime, I am off to Conressmens office next week to light another fire. Thank God self employed, otherwise ekkkkk

cheers

p.s heard the strangest thing tho - that either the I129's or 1130's are not processed in CSC they go somewhere else, oh well wherever they go, hope they have a safe journey :help:
