Well, Mohammed jolted me out of bed at 5:30 am to tell me he got the copy of the lease and was off to Cairo to TNT to send it on to the Embassy.

I did inform the Embassy via email that my address would officially change as of 4/25. Now my questions is:

Are there any other offices I need to officially inform of my address change? Or is the email to the Embassy asking for official change enough?

Jean here is the link to information on changing your address and the form to download. Depending on when he gets his visa and comes to USA you might want to send this to them. I would print this off or book mark it if you need to use it later. Good luck.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

Thank you. You are a wealth of knowledge. It appears all I have to do at this point is call their 800 number and give them address because Mohammed is not in the country (hasn't had visa issued) yet, although this is a bit confusing. I hope I'm correct.

Just make sure he has your new address to fill out the paperwork WHEN (inshallah) he enters the country.

I must not be as smart as I thought I was (haha) but I'm getting one big run around trying to change my stupid address. GEEEEEEZ.

Nothing is simple in all of this!!! I moved between filing the K-1 and Majid arriving and it didnt cause any problems. Hopefully you wont have to move during AOS, thats DEFINITELY going to cause us some difficulties :(

The confusion it seems comes from the fact that our petition is in some form of "approval" status. I explained that we are pending in 221g and nobody seems to know what the h*ll to do about it. So.... Pfft. I have sent emails to every office I can think of (USCIS, NVC and the Cairo Embassy) stating this is my official intention to inform since I cannot get answers otherwise and if its not good enough you need to tell me. At least it's on paper, or virtual paper so to speak. I'll follow up and see what kind of joy ride THIS will be. Whee! (not)
