Military or not, I don't think it makes a difference. My husband is in the military and ours wasn't really different from anyone else's. I'm confused as to how you got the petition number (i don't think I read that anywhere) Did you guys call on the phone and USCIS gave it to you or do you actually have the petition approval letter? I'm confused

Right now my petition number makes no sense. I have my green card already so it doesn't matter but mine starts with WAC and I have no clue what that stands for. Our petition was processed by the nebraska service center

It's possible they've changed the numbering system since we had our petition approved last October. If it starts with three letters and then has trailing numbers, that's probably your case number. Was it stamped on the back of the check?

Yes,Al got the check and ,like he said, there is a same number..

When he called to uscis they stated that our NOA1 is on 20 of July

and that they are processing military petiton in a different way...

Maybe thats why we have some strange number that doesnt valid with

uscis website...

EAC not quite the same as VSC is it? He's saying their receipt # starts with VSC2007... riiiiiight. wink, wink. ;)

I agree that this was childish to put our laundry out for all to see. I appologize to one and all, and ask for your forgiveness.

I did not create this number from my imagination, and I am very saddened to hear that it is believed to be my creation and not a mistake or a sad joke on someone else.

I have called USCIS repeatedly to acquire our number on my fiancee's aggressive behest, and I have verify called on my own to verify that we had a number(while waiting for my bank to mail it to me). The telephone representative gave me this number.

I believe that trust is a problem here, and it is my fault. Even as i have strived to live above my mistake. I have endured everything to show my sincerity and devotion, but I guess it does not prevent me from recieving the full penalty of my mistake.

I am sorry one and all,

Its okay, Al, but maybe ask a mod to close this thread so that you and Lola can work through things on your own, in private, away from our speculative eyes.

What we say shouldn't matter to your relationship one iota. You've gotten some suggestions how to resolve the case number issue, but I'm not sure what more value you can gain from the thread.

I hope resolving the issue w/ the case number takes you one step further to resolving any remaining trust issues in the relationship.

Best of luck to you.

Lola, I can understand that you want to go to a better place where you can be better off. I would want to do the same thing .... and like you said, you have the memories there. So, I really do understand. At the same time, it looks like you have no trust (with good reason for that). Besides the receipt number not making sense to you, is there anything else that makes you believe that he did not file the petition?

I do love him and trust him..

If I didn't I wouldn't be in relationship with him

untill now..I just wanted to be able to check our

case number online like other people do and get

upset when I found that the case number is not valid

with uscis website and found out that the case numbers

doesnt even start with numbers like we have...

It wasn't not trusting,it was just concerning about our

case status..

Just in case, the case number doesnt really matter for me right now...

Because I feel my fiance's pain and his comfort is more important for me

than something else..He just got out from hospital not that long time ago

and his health is important more than K1,K3 or whatever...

I truely believe that we will get it done soon and all these issues will be in a past...

P.S.Thank you for your desire to help us out...

God bless and save you, your future baby and your husband...

wow.. Most of people incluidng me on visajourney are just hoping to be with thier love ones so badly, and frustrating and suffering for their waiting period..

Why you want to separate from your finace to just being yourself now ? I mean, if you want to be independent you will be soon after visa approved, that is only for very short period in your life together.

If you can't trust your fiance at this point if he really send the appliction on not, then you really think over your relationship with him.

After being married, and have children together, and marriege won't work out, then you will have to involve your children as well. It is very sad for children if it is happen. Think careful before getting married.

I know this is very stressful period for all of us, and we jsut want to get out from or change this situation..

But be careful what you choose to do.

why don't you call USCIS and ask the number is correct ?

Biruta,

They are not together. She is in another place so yes, she can still be independent. i was independent until I got here to the US. Nothing wrong with that.

The number sounds very odd to me especially 200707 ie July 07. I've never heard of anyone's receipt number reflecting the year/month at the beginning. Seems an odd coincidence.

As I read through the thread, it becomes obvious that you DON'T trust him, but you keep saying that you DO trust him (and love him). It seems obvious that you do not trust him and just as obvious that you have very good reason NOT to trust him. He is the one who should be apologizing, not you. He's proven himself to be a major liar. That doesn't go away overnight or with apologies. It'll take time to build trust back between the two of you. Frankly, I'd be scared to leave my country and put all my faith in this guy. He speaks of ALLOWING you to return to Korea and fear of losing you. There seems to be insecurities and control issues there that might be serious. Once you are in the US, you are pretty dependent upon him. He may decide that his lying wasn't such a big deal then and his attitude about it may change.

I am not going to pretend that I know your story or your hardships or your love. I am not going to sit here and tell you what to do in an effort to steer or guide you in what I think is the appropriate way to go. I am not going to tell you that your mistrust is some sort of issue or that he hasn’t committed a serious enough offense toward you to create that for himself...love begins on a foundation. If you build that foundation starting with lies and mistrust, then it is simply like building a home on cracked concrete. I am not going to tell you anything but this....

You are you and he is he. People are human and they have human flaws. Love is unconditional and if you have a strong enough love, then you can beat any war together on any battle field. Although you love someone does not entitle you to ownership of their person... It means that you are a team walking together in the battle field of life. To love a human is to love them for their human and this also means their human flaws. If you cannot love this particular humans flaws, maybe you cannot love this human whole...

Do not walk behind me for I may not see that you have stopped for a rest.

I may walk to fast and never know and then we would be parted forever.

Do not walk too far ahead because then you may look so small.

I can’t keep up... Where did you go?

Walk this walk aside me, help me stand and guide me

and if you shall fall, then I will pick you up and you can then lean on me

Walk this walk with me.. You and I and I and you

We are two

Nevertheless as we walk, we become a strong one.

Can you survive this battle? Can you or will you survive the next one that presents itself? Is your love strong enough to endure or are you in love with the idea of being in love?

... A picture painted so beautifully on the canvas of life.

You know who you are inside.. No one knows you like yourself. You know the answers are within you and you know how you feel. Ask yourself the questions and simply answer them.

Is he or she being honest?

Did he file the petition?

Have you made the best decisions for yourself?

Has he?

Do you really want this?

Is this really that big of a deal?

Has he really let you down?

Has she?

There are more questions... But they are your questions to ask yourself. You know what truth is and you know what you feel inside. None of these people here can help you understand your relationship. None of these people here hold the answers for you. You can hold this love and understand each other or you cannot... There is no such thing as “I think I understand the love of my life”

Do or do not... And even if you may not, then understand that you don’t have to understand in order to be understanding. People are people and let them be themselves... After all, isn’t that who you fell in love with? If happiness is a choice and your love makes a choice for happiness... Should you selfishly not let the love of your life choose to be happy? Should you build a wall for them to climb in an effort to keep them locked in where you would like them to be? And at the end of the day.... Will they still see your you and your love or will they simply be staring at a wall?

Do for each other and for the love that you have. She is a queen and he is your king... Walk together or admit defeat in the battle and move on to find someone who will walk with you. Because you deserve it.
