I can't really reply without posting my own moral opinion and thoughts related to lying and fidelity, so I will leave it at that and not get myself banned.

so what was the point of saying anything at all? they are asking for advice, not replies that will make them feel like #######.

Oh c'mon. Happens all the time. Why do people just post a popcorn smily, then? What's the value of that?

I'll bet afew more of the folks on this thread are churning a similar thought over; will they admit it? Hmmmm? At least he chose to say something that was at least an indication of what he really thought..

IK HOU VAN JOU, MARK

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

Because this thread was posted on an open DISCUSSION board. I'm not insulting anyone, but the fact remains that marriage and especially this visa process is a big deal because it changes the life of the beneficiary as they have to rip up their roots and move here.

I already mentioned two things brought up by the OP and aired out here - Lying and infidelity. This should be a huge warning sign.

I'm not accusing anyone or pushing my own morals on them or spouting off religious or other standards. I'm saying the beneficiary already knows this dirty laundry and if she can see past it and accept it, it's her life. As long as she is aware.

Our california number was WAC0710350XXX. our embassy number was BNK20076XXXXX. I didn't see our number on the web for two month.

Stop worrying about the number. If you really love the guy and want to stay with him for ever, the 7-9 month to get the visa will be a short time. After you come to America, you will make plenty of money, and will have plenty of time to buy him whatever you want.

Good luck to both of you.

Why would I PM you? If a mod thinks I am out of line I'll hear from them.

I did say something. I said based off the history of this USC the beneficiary should be wary and carefully think over her decision.

If this site is just for people giving support or only saying things people want to hear it would be useless.

Sorry, sweetie, but that case number is a bunch of #######. I had a Cali case number of WAC07..... and an embassy number of MRV2007... honestly, you need to ask your man for the REAL number, if there is one...

Alvin!

I am not leaving,I am not going anywhere...

I am so sorry for not understanding you,I just miss you thats it!

I know that we will get this visa done soon and be happy for the rest

of our lives!!!

I promiss before God,before all people in here!!!

P.S.I think we had to dial with it in a privat conversation...

I guess everybody are thinking that we are crazy...crazy in love!!!

I love you,baby , and always will!!!!!

Please stop the dramatics and bring it to PM.

You guys should be talking about all of this in private, we at the boards can't give opinion about whether she should stay, go, you should or shouldn't marry, etc. You should take this conversation to your private messages, phone, e-mail, etc.

I don't see how people can air their dirty laundry all over this board, either. Hey, whatever floats your boat...

Something doesnt sound right about this number.... but I'm really interested to see how this plays out.

Yeah, I agree.

THIS SOUNDS REALLY GOOD!!!

hahahah I love this

and open dialouge in front of everyone

woooooooooow

this is incredible

I wish someone would contact that Drug addict Rush Limbaugh and report this

this is gooooooood!!!

LMAO!

Dear Al and Lola,

One of the biggest trials a foriegn groom or bride must undertake is dealing with the culture shock of being imersed into a new and alien country. Most couples do not consider this enormus impact culture shock has until they are struggling with it. I think this culture shock that Lola is having is the most dangerous thorn in your relationship. Many relationships fail because culture shock is not address by BOTH spouses. I do not think either of you are willing to let this relationship fail over this.

Al, to you I would say to try an remind yourself how hard it is for Lola, or anyone, to adapt to a new country. Every thing you think is simple is just slightly harder for her. And if every single thing is slightly harder, it can add up to too much weight. Think about it. Every time you go to a drive thru, renew a library card, answer a telemarket call...all of this things you do without thinking are things she has to cope with as a learning experience. She is going to school with every waking hour and that is extremely difficult for anyone. I believe you love her very much. I also believe your personal needs might not be getting addressed. It is hard for a man to put aside his needs, but you will have to for a short period until she adjusts to the culture shock. I believe she loves you and wants very much to address your needs, but she is simply too overwelmed at the moment to even address her own needs. Have patience with her and yourself, is the best advice I can give from someone who has been there.

Lola, in addition to what I said to all that also applies to you, I would add that you should remind yourself how strong you are. You have already achieve what most women are too weak to even consider. And although you are homesick and possibly a little afraid for the future, you are brave to face each day as an immigrant and work at your relationship at the same time. There is so much for you to do that you might loose sight of what you are working toward. Try to stop and enjoy your present life from time to time. Be patient both with yourself and Al. I think he loves you very much and you can build a good life together. Do not be afraid to ask him for emotional support. I think he really wants to be there for you. You should also take time to recognize that he is making difficult adjustments along side you. Just as you want him to address your needs, do not forget his needs too.

Culture shock goes away in time. Do not let it destroy what you have built together. It is ok to be homesick, and you should return to Korea in the future. But hopefully, you can return to Korea with Al as a happy couple and not as a last resort for being unhappy.

Good luck to you both.

Outside of the subject of using a rather unusual forum to have an important personal discussion...... can I just suggest that Al scans in the document that bears the reference number and sends it to Lola by email? Between them hopefully they can clarify what the reference number is, and determine next steps.....

Shoot, I just ran out of popcorn. BUT...

1. That Service Center # is whacked. It's BOGUS.

2. This is something that needs to be discussed between them two over the phone and in private.

3. But if this is how you want to deal with it... let me bring more popcorn so I can keep on readin'. It's been quite fun in all honesty.
