In the original post, that's what the OP said, but it was later corrected. The CO does review your originals and stamp the copies they hold as 'original seen' or similar. Hope this doesn't start a new urban legand!

Anyway: the I-130 does not get notarized. Only the I-864 must be notarized (of the forms).
