hi. my fiance is getting ready for his interview this month. we have about 8 pictures, passport stamps, boarding passes, cell phone bill and he has about 10 cards/letters that i have sent him. is that enough proof that our relathionship has been ongoing? i am not sure how much is enough to prove it. do they sit and actually read the letters and cards? how specific and picky are they with the proof usually?

also i am not sure if this is standard in all us embassies but is the person who conducts the interview an american or is it a person of that country that is just working for the united states and speaks english and so on?

This is always a tough question to answer. the bottom line is that you go with what you have.......If that's all you have, then that's all you have....

At my wifes interview they looked at and read everything. I have read in these forums many times that at some consulates they looked at nothing. And I'm sure at others they look at a few items.

I guess the best advice I can give is to make sure your SO is totally familiar with all the relationship evidence you submit as well as the story/dates/places involved.

Also make sure your SO is completely versed in all aspects of your life, particularly your birthday, where you went to school, your family members names, etc. All things that demonstrate that you are a couple that "knows" each other.

Good luck..

You seem to have more proof than we did - but my fiance went through Colombia - look at the experience of people that have gone through your consulate to gauge what is expected and needed. My fiance only had 2 pictures of us together; 5 emails and 5 chat records that she printed out and a new letter of intent from em and she had no problems. Good luck
