How to mail Docs US-Thai?

Does anyone have any good options for mailing documents back and forth from the US to Thailand? I'm beginning the K-1 process and need to send my fiance' the 325 and 129 docs to sign and write her info in Thai. Fedex wants $64. for 3-5 days, the Postal Service is the cheapest so far at $35. for 5-7 days. Not sure how reliable that is. I had no Idea it was going to be that expensive! Any better options?? Thanks!

Does your partner have Internet Access? I sent her docs filled out for her to check over in PDF format. She printed them out and signed them and mailed them back over here. It cost $18 US for her to mail it over from China.

When mailing to her first class, letters or packages it has been 90 cents per oz. Takes about 10 days to get there.

Using the internet for the G325a, filled out or not and then having her mail the signed forms back is what I would do initially. If you must send her something, first class or priority mail will be far less expensive and take only a few extra days in most cases. She need not sign the I-129F. The USC does that.

She can write her name in Thai characters on all four pages when she signs. You can also simply print the characters from a document or email onto sticky labels and affix them.

If you insist on sending it and not having her fill it out online and then send it to you as other posters have said, I would use the postal service. Just last week I sent out a few forms to my fiance over there via the 5-7 day service and it got there in 6 days and only cost $11. I'm surprised you're getting quoted $35 for that as what I sent was probably about the same weight as what you want to send...

My Timeline

K-1 Process:

3/30/07 - NOA 1

10/19/07 - AOS application sent (I-485, I-131, I-765)

I think the difference might be priority mail vs. express mail. I asked the guy at the post office one day, when I was mailing a card to my fiancee, and he said that he sees quite a bit of the international priority mail. He seemed pretty upbeat about it, although personally I haven't tried it because we've averaged 4 days for plain old airmail between US and Finland. Give it a try and see how it works!

Some people say I'm easily distracted, but that's not... Hey! A squirrel!

A "Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope" cost $11 USA to Thailand. Have used it a couple times (also the flat rate box is available - used that too - cost a little more). Takes 6-10 days according to USPS.com. All of ours got there in 4 to 5 days(to Bangkok address). They also have a flat rate envelope with a 3-5 day delivery for $25.

Thanks for all the help!

I got the $35. quote from one of the local mail shops here in Ballingham,WA. I went to send it via Fedex but the $64. fee got me looking for alternatives. She is in Nakhon sri Thammarat which I'm sure is more expensive o get to than BKK. I'll try going direct to the post office. I took some of your advice and sent her the docs via email, along with a scan of the G325A that I had completed so she would have all the info at hand. Hopefully with the help of friends she can get them filled out and sent back to me.

Thanks again or the replies!!

Or, she could just sign and write her name in Thai characters on the scanned document. It doesn't matter who "fills it out", just that her original signature is on it. I wouldn't trust all USCIS adjudicators to remember and comply, but there actually is a ruling that states an otherwise properly filed petition will not be denied because of an unsigned G325a.

^^I thought of that but I don't think the quality would hold up. I paid 5 bucks for a scan at Kinkos and it was fair at best.
