After recieving packet 4 I noticed a line in paragraph

If the petitioner filed a late or amended tax return, he/she should submit evidence of it.

Question: What exactly evidence will be in this case. My Co-Sponsoer (Household member who also filed I-864A) Filed Amended 2006 tax return Because he

forgot to include his house tax (Which he bought last year 2006). So he filed amended tax return for year 2006. I have already turned in his Amended tax return

for year 2006 to NVC and they said nothing about it and forwarded our case to embassy. But Now in packet 4 its mentioned "petitioner filed a late or amended

tax return, he/she should submit evidence of it." I am wondering what evidence My CO-SPONSER (Household member) Need to provide? I hope i made my self

clear.

It's a poorly constructed sentence. If you provide the return, you're covered. If all you have is the filing extension, they want you to provide it.

Thanks pushbrk. Intially thats what i thought but then i wasn't sure i thougth may be they are referring to some notarized documentation which will state

the reason of amended tax return of year 2006. Yes my Co-Sponoser Gave me all his 2004,2005,2006 year tax returns and they are submited to NVC. I

have also send copies of those tax returnes and Tax Transcripts to my Spouse. Also they want evidence that my Co-Sponser is US

citizen or US permmanente resident as per packet 4 instructions. My Co-Sponsoer can't provide "citizenship certificate copy" because its illegal to make

copy of it. Do you think his Passport Biographic page will work just fine? He is actually US citizen.

It really irks me to answer a question in a PM, only to see the question posted in the forum. Please post your question publicly or privately but not both.

Passports are proof of citizenship.
