I thought it would be useful for those who have already had their interviews to post the questions they were asked. Mind you, not the whole story, just the questions, so those of us in the wait list can get a feel for them.

I propose:

CONSULATE: ######

QUESTIONS: ######

Hope this helps someone else... it will so help me!!!!

Peace, L. :goofy:

Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: Canada
Timeline

I have to preface this with the fact that I'm not doing DCF and haven't had my interview - however I just went through the Montreal and Vancouver Consulate reviews for the last 14 months or so and compiled a list, some are kind of obvious but I figured I would include them anyway.

CONSULATES: Montreal and Vancouver, Canada

QUESTIONS:

How did you meet?

Where did you meet?

When did you meet in person? And the next time? And the time after that?

What does your fiance do for a living?

What do you do for a living?

What are your plans for the wedding?

Did you feel nervous or intimidated flying across the continent to meet someone you had met online?

Do your families approve of each other?

Why are you the one moving (to the U.S.)?

Why the U.S. and not Canada?

Why do you want to move to the US?

Where will you be living?

So, I guess you will be getting married once you are there?

A few questions about my wife's family

Are there any cultural differences, religious differences between the two of you?

When did you last meet and what did you do?

How we knew we were in love even on the computer

How do you get along with each other's families?

What do you plan to do in the U.S.?

What do you like about each other?

Why are you sure this marriage will be better (than your previous marriage)?

Have you ever been refused entry to the U.S.?

How often do you visit each other?

What is your general philosophy of life?

Where does this visa fit into your philosophy of life?

What would it be like to not get this visa?

What is the longest period of time you have lived in the U.S. with your S.O.?

He asked if I had committed any crimes / had any convictions

Why did you apply for the K-1 so quickly after having met (2 months)?

He asked us a few questions about our age difference (9 years)

Have you ever had any problems at POE entering the USA? Yes. Why? Because I could not prove that I had any ties to Canada. This happend 3 times in a row, then I was able to successfully cross 6 times afterwards.

Have you ever had any problems with the Canadian Government?

Have you ever had any problems with Immigration or US Customs?

How old are her kids?

What do you have in common?

Questions at our recent London DCF interview:

"So you want to move to America?" (no kidding! Uhhh..why else would we be at the Embassy? )

Where did you two meet -- the US or the UK?

When did you meet?

What do you want to do in America for a living?

Where will you be living when you move to America?

That was it!

What?? I wouldn't be able to answer that even outside of a stressful interview situation!
