Questions About Timelines and Touches for AOS

I notice that some people don't have an 'interview' listed in thier timelines, but have thier greencard. I assume this means that some cases can be expedited and the interview 'skipped'?

I also see that some people who are keeping track of 'touches' don't indicate any 'touch' prior to receiving the letter with the appointment date, is this normal? What I mean is, is it normal NOT to receive any touch prior to getting the letter with the appointment date.

Not everyone gets an interview...some get transfered to CSC and get approved without interview! thats probably the reason why they dont have an interview date listed in the their timeline and no their cases weren't expedited.

Not everyone gets a touch prior to receiving their interview date. Yes its quite normal not to get a touch prior to getting their appointment letter for their interview!!

I havent had a touch on my AOS since July 9th....no interview date here yet!!

Yes, as MariaDane said, some people get transferred to CSC and get an approval without interview. We have no idea why some people get transferred, it could be the backlog of work at local offices. Often people who get transferred get very fast approvals (sometimes within 2 weeks of transferring!) but others stagnate for months there! So maybe an interview date is better than being transferred!

I didn't get a touch either, before I got the interview letter. More frequent is getting a touch immediately after the Biometrics.

C's case was transferred to CSC (I do not know why). NO INTERVIEW.

She received her GC in the mail less than 60 days from when she went to the post office to mail the AOS. Funny enough, we received the AP (from a different office) the exact same day as the GC.

Claudeth received her GC without an interview and was approved right after her petition was transferred from MSC to CSC.
