My wife got her K3 last week. Is there a time frame of when she has to come here? I'm in the middle of my boards, and her sister is planning to visit the PI in a few months. Is there a time frame for when she HAS to come? And number of entries?

Her I-130

1-16-2007 sent

1-19-2007 NOA1

2-1-2007 Touch

4-30-2007 Approved

Her I-129F

1-23-2007 sent (but sent it to Vermont)

2-16-2007 resent a new package

2-26-2007 NOA1

3-2-2007 NOA1 (The one I sent to Vermont...Ugh)

3-2-2007 Sent to Vermont

3-6-2007 Went to "Satelitte Center" to talk about having 2 I-129Fs

3-7-2007 Touch

3-9-2007 Touch

3-12-2007 Touch

3-12-2007 Sent to Vermont

3-13-2007 Touch

3-14-2007 Touch

4-30-2007 Both approved

5-04-2007 The One I sent to Vermont is the one the goes to embassy from NVC

K3s are valid for travel to US for 6 months from the date of visa issuance.

I don't think the 6 months can be extended.

After record of arriving in the US [i-94] they are good for 2 years of multiple entries from date of arrival.

Would have been nice if you had continued with the I-130!

K-3 was designed originally to join the couple while the I-130 continued through the system.

K-1 is valid 6 months K-3 is valid (24 months) or 2 years from issuance.

Visa Fee Entries Period of validity

K-1 None One 6 Months

K-2 None One 6 Months

K-3 None Multiple 24 Months

K-4 None Multiple 24 Months

K-3 status extends for two years after entry entry into the United States. Your status will end sooner if your marriage ends, or if K-3 holder obtains a status of Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR). K-4 status is also valid for two years, unless a child turns 21, gets married, or when his/her K-3 parent becomes a Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR).

Lots of confusion on when the 2 years start.

Alls I know is my wife and anaks I-94 they received at POE had a 2 year expiration date on it.

Go with the length of validity stated for K-3 by the Department of State, K-3 has a period of validity of 24 months.

Just read K-3 on the Philippines Reciprocity Schedule.
