AOS Fee Bill Returned

I overnighted the AOS Fee bill yesterday and for some reason i checked the status on USPS website and it says it was return to the sender because it could not be delivered as addressed.

I sent it to the following address:

National Visa Center

P.O. Box 790135

St. Louis, MO 63179-0135

Can someone please tell me if the above address is correct or not.

I wonder if USPS will give me credit for not delivering the item.

Is the AOS Fee Bill up to date on James Shortcut v2.0?

It's the right address. I just checked my USPS receipt and the letter I received from them for which they tell you where to send the AOS Fee Bill.

Hhhmmmppp... I wonder why it was returned.

So, your AOS Bill was also returned with a letter?

Did they provide you with a new address where you can send your AOS Bill?

Also, on the money order i wrote to The Department of State and also put down the address. Will the address cause any issues on the money order?

No. They received it, cashed it and processed it with no problem.

The address that you have is the same address I sent my payment in.

You are right, payable to Department of State. It shouldn't be a problem at all having the address on the money order. Did you put your Case# on the money order? You should have, to ensure it will be credited to your case#.

You'll probably get a letter with it that would inform you what could be wrong on the AOS Fee Bill ($70) payment you sent.

It's entirely possible that the carrier mistakenly marked the wrong delivery status when it was delivered. I've had the same status before online when I've sent documents to my attorney. I called the attorney and the package had been delivered -- I complained to the post office and they offerred to refund me the 50 cent fee for delivery confirmation.

I would wait to see if they indeed did not deliver the AOS fee bill. If not, it'll get back to you and you can send it again but if they did, then you should keep checking with the NVC to see when they'll add it to their system.

I am too mad with the St louis people... i dont know whats the issue with them.... they first dont encash the payments which are made.... then like Jay patel case... they return the payments.... Its high Time

Good news guys,

I just rechecked the USPS website and it says that my AOS Bill has reached St. Louis at 9:45AM today.

I doubt that it will reach the NVC by 12:00PM today and that means i can get my money back for sending it overnight if they fail to deliver the mail by 12:00PM.
