you have to send copies of the evidences.

"Copies. If these instructions state that a copy of a document may be filed with this petition and you choose to send us the original, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) may keep that original for our records. If USCIS requires the original, we will request it."

You can send copies of the items you would like to include. Just note, (and you probably will be including these already) that in addition to the plane tickets and car rental tickets, a more important proof of having met would include pictures of you two together. Things like a copy of a plane ticket or visa stamp do not, independently, validate the "proof of having met" requirement, although they do support the case if additional evidence is presented along with such documentation.

Good luck!

Well, sort of but I'm afraid you sort of have this backwards. Primary evidence such as plane tickets (boarding passes), visa entry/exit stamps, hotel receipts, credit card statements, apartment leases, joint utility bills, credit card statements showing withdrawals in the country/city in question, are evidence that have more "weight' than" secondary evidence such as photos of you and your SO together.

I and others were approved with strong primary evidence without any photos at all and so in some cases the primary evidence does in in itself prove and "validate" the proof of having met requirement in the past two years prior to submitting the application.

I do not advocate not sending in photos if you have them but there are people that do not have any and to suggest that they are "important" for an approval just isn't true.

The USCIS prefers strong primary evidence over secondary evidence and what we put forth in this forum as a strategy to succeed is to go with a composite of both, mostly primary and some secondary to make your point.

In the end you submit the best of what you have.

Actually it is the opposite way around. Primary proof is evidence from outside sources such as plane tickets, boarding passes, credit card receipts, etc If have lived together this evidence may also include lease etc. Secondary evidence is things such as photos and letters from family etc that support the primary evidence. What is important is the overall picture that one will form in the minds eye of the adjudicator. Each case will and can be different. One should also detail the circumstances of having met (the requirement) to establish the relationship.

Thanks for clearing that up Aussie... I just simply sent in a copy of my passport with all the stamps in it, also with my visa affixed, and yacine's stamps corresponded with my stamps, and the pictures together in various landmarks in Tunis and Algiers helped.
