Hello all!

Does anyone have experience with a fiancee move during the K1 process? My fiancee moved locally and will still be using the same embassy.

I called USCIS and the woman I spoke to, although somewhat friendly, didn't know much. She said everything in her system was only concerned with my address here in the US. From reading around on this site almost daily I understand a package is supposed to be forwarded to her embassy from the NVC. Then they put together whatever she has to do and mail it to her, right? Do they also email this stuff? Is this the package others have referred to as Package 3?

The process is a bit complicated by the fact her address is Korean, which is so different then American mailing addresses...not to mention the alphabet being completely different. It would be difficult to correctly convey over the phone is my point.

Any advice is appreciated! My NOA1 date is 5/1 so I feel like I need to do something fast! Thanks...

The USC will get all the same papers sent to you from the consulate just in case she does not.

Not true. The USC does not receive any paperwork from the Embassy, the beneficiary does.

To the OP, when your case is at the National Visa Center (NVC), change your Fiance's address then, but quickly. You will then see no gap in processing.
