I'm in the same boat with you (just K1). Nebraska Service Center received our I-129F on 1-Aug (postmarked 29-July) and I assume that they are sending it forward to the California Service Center BUT I'VE NOT HEARD ANYTHING from NSC or CSV and my check has not hit my bank yet.

Our Visa Journey

07/29/07 ---- Mailed I-129F

08/25/07 --- Check finally cashed (8/27 I should be able to see the R number on the back).

08/27/07 --- NOA1 Arrives from CSC and I create my account profile on the USCIS.Gov web-site (the clock starts)!!!

02/05/08 --- After 191 days NOA2 (Approval) comes at last!!!!

2/14/08 --- NVC sends letter saying that it's on the way to the US Embassy in Bangkok

2/25/08 --- She receives Packet 3 from the Embassy

3/29/08 --- She receives Packet 4 with interview date (July 11th).

3/30/08 --- I e-mail the Embassy asking to make the date earlier because I've already got our tickets for June 13th!!!

5/6/08 --- No help from the Embassy. Rebooked tickets and vacation till September.

5/21/08 --- Embassy calls her and moves interview to May 27th!!!!! You have got to be kidding me!!!

9/21/08 --- POE San Francisco!!!!

12/8/08 --- Married!!!!

12/15/08 --- Mail AOS + AP + EAD package to Chicago

12/28/08 --- Come back from vacation and find AOS/AP/EAD NOA 1 and Bio App notices in the mailbox!!!

1/13/09 --- Bio Appt

4/22/09 --- AOS Interview "APPROVED"!!!

3/04/2011 --- OUR BABY IS BORN... We have a son!!!!!

We filed ours before the increase too..postmarked the 28th I think...my hubby checked online and apparently it's arrived there, but we haven't received any notifications and our checks have not been cashed.

On that note, we sent all our filing fees incld. one for the Affidavit of Support but I was reading the NVC website today and they said the NVC ask for money at specific times during the processing

Anyone have any input?

Oh, wow. I can imagine your frustration. They said you didn't send the payment? I wonder if that will happen to us too because I sent mine on the same day. Did you send both the I-130 and I29f together?

I sent in just the I-130. i didnt know you could send them together?? i thought you had to wait for the NOA1 before sending out the I-129F. #######... even more time bieng wasted. *sigh* I miss the days when people could just walk into the country without questions... free land was offered... and the streets were paved with gold (or so goes my understanding of the olden days.. ). Anyways. maybe it "fell" out when they were going through the papers or something.. after all.. there was a huge increase in applications those days. maybe the pressure made them less careful... with all the rushing going on. :P whatever. im back to "day 1" now... and praying to get my NOA1 in 10 days...

Does anyone think i can have a wedding for March 26? (will everything be done by then? ) *sigh* i wish it were...

Nope no movement since July 26th when my husband sent the I-129F petition. It was delivered July 28th in Chicago and almost 1 month now no NOA1. We checked with USCIS website and searched our case and the only one listed there is our I-130 which was filed last June. Check has not been cashed either. Hopefully they don't return it saying there wasn't any check in it or God forbid misplaced it or got lost. Sigh!!! :crying:

Hi There!

If you filed for K-3 Visa before the fee increase period (before July 30) then the I-129F will be free of charge. We filed July 28 and included a check for $170 however, the check was returned to us and the NOA1 we received indicated that the fee was waived.

So far were on target with regards to our timeline. Just hang on in there! :D

Good luck on your journeys!

2-0. In favor of the boys.

Sorry...I started another thread on the same subject. My lawyer told me that he sent my information in, but has yet to hear anything. He suspects that it is because so many people filed to avoid the fee increase it overloaded the system. I'm hoping he was telling me the truth

So the $190 check that we sent for I-130 also covers the I-129F? Am I hearing it right? thanks.
