From the day CSC indicated receiving my RFE to the NOA2 was 67 days. I hope that yours is faster than that. Maybe the fact that yours is K1 and mine was K3 will make a difference in that. One little hint that I can give you however. Count the days from your NOA1 to todays date .. subtract out the days between them sending RFE and your reply to RFE. If the remaining days are over 60, then call USCIS making sure to select the prompts stating you believe you are outside the processing window. They will file a request for information. I did that and 2 weeks later got approved. Hope that helps.

Ive already sent them back the RFE. They were asking me for a AMERICAN marriage cert, big confusion, so much to go into. The main point is hes never been here, and i had to explain that and the "marriage" we had in romania which is not valid here. Long story made short, i filed for divorse 10 years ago from my first husband, had papers and everything, just didnt need to appear in court because it was one of those easy divorses. 10 yrs later (last year) i take my divorse papers to romania, and marry Ed. When i came back to florida to change my name, was told i needed a divorse from my ex husband before i could LEGALLY marry and change my name again. shocked i contacted the BEST lawyer in town, and when he looked into everything he stated the lawyer i had 10 yrs ago was not licenced and was now in jail for fraud, therefore any divorsed he "claimed" was legallized was not, just no one was notified of this #######. therefore my immigration lawyer informing me me and eds marriage not being legal and to file the K1.

CSC assumed we were already married in USA, so i had to write a letter explaining all of this in full detail with an attached letter from my lawyer as well, AND THE NEW UPDATED LEGAL divorse papers i got in June of last year FINALLY.

so the RFE was no big deal to do. and i got an email on March 8 from CSC stating they have my RFE bla bla bla.

and so goes on to my first entry.

Wow I have to give you thumbs up for explaing your WHOLE scenario to us! (have a breath) You're going through a NIGHTMARE!!!!! I think you have every reason to vent on here. I also think "squeaky wheel gets the oil" I'd be calling nonstop so much they would know my name and someone would give me an answer. Good luck.

Well i didnt feel like not telling the story if i was asking for comfort :)

Its not easy explaining something without explaining the situation in whole.

I know its confusing, really its not when they read the letter, i even highlighted everything for them to make it 5 year old easy.

highlighted the day of marriage which is now an invalid marriage, and the new divorse date on all ORIGINAL papers. (i have copies of the originals so im not worried about it) to prove the marriage was before the new and legal divorse and i am INFACT free to marry and so is my fiance. Because even if on a background check on him he may come up married to ME, and they can see the fact that hes not NO MORE due to my crappy lawyer 10 years ago not doing his job and taking off with my money, making my life 10 years later a bigger nightmare than it should have been. !!!!!

Apparently they do take long on those. My guess is that RFE petitions go back to the bottom of the pile.
