My husband and I is here in illinois and we've been here for 6 months. We file our AOS since last july and got the notice for my biometrics august 17. My biometrics is schedule on the 29th this month in california but I'm sure at that time we are still here in Illinois. My husband keep on telling me he's gonna call them but today he finally did and he was disconnected. He says that they got a lot of instructions that needs to be followed, i don't know!

Please help me here, what should we do?

I'm just worried here, because if we can't reschedule our biometrics they will abandoned our application.

Thank you for reading my post here.

we visits his mom and she asks us to stay for a couple months. She is not feeling well, she had her neck surgery and now she got a blood clot on her right leg. We have our mailed forward from california to illinois. I call them again today and they said I would send the noticed and check the box for rescheduling. But right now I'm not sure if we're gonna stay for another month or 2 months.

Unless it is a life or death situation you should make all efforts to attend your biometrics appointment.... Did you know that the USPS will not forward all types of USCIS mail... so EAD cards, interview notifications and Greencards and some RFE will be returned to USCIS as undeliverable and you then risk getting a denial of your AOS... if you plan to stay away from home for an extended period of time you are ment to do a temp change of address using form AR-11...

Hope your mom-in-law gets better soon...
