While it seems like a lifetime ago that me and the wife sent off my AOS/EAD paperwork, it was only about a month and a half ago.....

Do VJ people who've been watching ther AOS forums longer notice any patterns? I mean - does it seem more likely that a male application will get called to interview, or is it more likely that someone from the UK will be called than someone from Canada, etc, etc......

I don't think I was as clear on the likely processing dates for AOS Vs EAD as should have been at filing...... I didn't file for AP and I now think that if I do get called to interview it is going to be very touch and go if we will be able to travel back to England for Christmas/New Year. Having said that, even if I don't get called to interview or see an RFE, it could very realistically still not happen.

I haven't noticed much of a trend other than people being processed out of CSC tend to receive their greencard without an interview.

Much of our information is in a database, I guess if the host wanted to create a customizable query we would be able to search for any trends?

That would be interesting......... it seems unlikely that it is random, the USCIS must at least have guidelines as to who they call to interview. Or maybe, they like to interview as many as possible and it just depends how much resource is availabe at the time of processing - although I doubt that.

It is based entirely upon how backlogged your District Office might be.

I have the official USCIS memo on this at my PC at home. Give me a few hours and I'll post it in the thread.

Anecdotal experience on VJ indicates no other pattern. No country of origin, no gender of applicant, nothing. Also has nothing to do with placing proof of the relationship in the file. We've seen countless petitioners who were transferred and sent not one drop of evidence of bonafides in the file.

I am noticing a current trend in the 'filer' threads of 50/50 odds of a transfer. The only useful scrap of data coming out of those threads, IMO.

It seems to depend on how busy your local office is. If it isn't busy you'll get transferred there and called for interview.

If it is busy, then you'll more than likely get a CSC transfer and get through without interview.

I hadn't actually cottoned onto why some people referred to the CSC as opposed to a local office before. Is the CSC the only service centre that handles AOS cases?

So going on what you've said the rush to beat the July fee changes might lead to more cases haivng to go to the CSC, and hence, actually speed up a number of cases?

According to VJ timelines....My local office has no record of interviews pending. within the last 3 months...does this mean they could / could not be busy? Am i likely to be scheduled for an interview sometime soon!

Appreciate the memo when you get home and have time to post! :)

Have you seen any K3s (or any other visa types adjusting other than K1s) get transferred without interview or does the memo only address backlogged district offices and K1s?

I'm willing to bet money that those eligible for 10 year Green Cards are likely to get interviewed.

Thanks Doc - Who wouldn't be eligible for a 10-year green card?

It will be interesting to watch. Check out this thread (all for removing condititions for membrs previously gone through CSC/no interview)

and MariaDane - just because there are no member listings of your local office does not mean there aren't any. It could be partially on the dependance of the monthly filer threads, members simply forgetting to update, etc. etc. It would be great to see more additions to the site stats vs. cluttering threads.

I was more referring to people like myself who had their AOS approved after 2 years of marriage, rather than people who have to remove conditions (which I'm super glad I don't have to do!)
