Interview venue for Northern Ireland

Greetings fellow Journey makers and takers,

I was hoping that someone might be able to shed a little light onto my question. My I-130 application for my Father was recently accepted, and now we understand that he is to receive a notice informing him when and where his interview will take place. He currently lives in Northern Ireland and I am hoping to find out if this interview will be carried out at the London Embassy or does the Consulate in Belfast host the interview.

To fill in his past, my parents, against my verbal judgement, but advised by my Brother and his lawyer, sold up and moved to Austin, Texas, with the notion that a green card would be made available to them within weeks, upon my brother's naturalization. I cannot tell you how many fights we all ended up in, but they are old enough to make up the own minds, and wished them well and sat back and watched it all turn to poop!

Anyways, a few months went by and my father started getting nervous and wanted to return home to Belfast. My brother, the lawyer and their new friends advised him not to, but the pressure of being illegal (and my grandmother's declining health) prompted him to leave. He did overstay his visit by less than 90 days, and thought he would be clever and try to re-enter under a new Irish Passport - we have always used our British passports to travel. To cut a long story short, the nice POE office at Shannon Airport decided that he looked an awful lot like a fella who just left the US under a British Passport - they even had the same name and birth-date - and Dad was denied entry and branded with a three-year ban.

All this happened three years ago, and since then I became a citizen; my Mum, who stayed in Texas, now has a green card, SSN (really pisses me off no end) and a boyfriend. We recently got into a fight one evening when she was getting cosy with a a bottle of Ernest and Julio, claiming myself and my father 'don't give a damn" about her and she has yet to talk to me since.

Anyways, any information about a venue for his interview would be super.

Hi Rex! Sorry to hear about the family issues. I hope it all gets sorted for you. I don't know if I can answer your question about the I-130, but I do know that the interview for a person in Belfast for a K-1 visa is in London. My fiance is in Belfast and is having to fly to London for both his medical and his interview. So I can't imagine it would be any different for an I-130 visa.
