Hello fellow August filers. I haven't been on here for a while, but now I am starting to get antsy. How many of us have NOA2? How is everyone doing? I was hoping to get the good news over the holidays, but no dice there... take care

We were lucky enough to be together over the holidays-she traveled to the states. I have found that the best way to pass the time is to stay busy...

Today I got the NOA2 email!! Woohoo! I actually did try the RFE trick yesterday and the guy in VT said he could not tell me the status of the case. So then I called again and did not enter my case # and I got another worker who pretty much read me a generic statement about wait times, etc, etc. so i am not sure if it is a coincidence that my application happened to be approved today... thoughts or similar experiences?

Congratulations!

Almost assuredly a coincidence. If you were outside the normal processing times, then maybe. You were just luckless enough to get two CS reps who didn't want to tell you it was on someone's desk.

What is the RFE trick?

I'm starting to get really depressed because we are running out of buffer room. If it gets held up for a month and MTL takes longer than 6 months we will not make our own wedding date :(

The RFE Trick: 1-800-375-5283,1,2,2,4,2,1,your case number,1,1

that is the 'rfe trick'. i dont know if it actually does anything, but at least you get to speak to a human. i called twice and they took the gentle droid approach. very professional and friendly, but very scripted.
