i hate cakes with really thick, nasty icing... my sis-in-law always buys these cakes for birthdays etc, that have far too much icing on them but the cake is usually pretty good , so I just pick of the icing...

for my wedding cake I made this super easy frosting that uses pudding mix, and dream whip.. it was really yummy.... and not too sickenly sweet like those othre frostings...

I really liked my cake even though it didn't look like on of those fancy shamcy ones....

and seeing as I am known by my friends and family as the baker of cakes and cookies etc... how could I not bake my own cake ...

Another reason to be sad when you don't have a real wedding - those are all beautiful. I like the ones with the polka dots on.

Here's my hubby and I with our "cake":

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

For my daughters wedding she chose a cake similar to a few that are here.. ..

She chose a fondant type. had a raspberry cream center. White butter type cake.

She originally was going for the brown and blue theme.. when i thought more to the cake.. we decided to add some fondant flowers.. which the baker did in a light peach and brown color..

cake turned out beautiful.

and for the vegans that arrived for the wedding .. we had a three tier tray of vegan mini cupcakes.. with carob or apple spice or carrot cake mini cupcakes..
