I love stilton...lovely stilton.

:secret: Lately I've been preferring the Roquefort. Damn French!

I like me some roquefort but love my stilton. It makes such a fine cheese sauce as well - there is nothing better than a steak dripping with it

See, I hear you but I don't eat cows. :(

I think I need some Stilton again. I alternate sometimes, depending on how salty I want (Roquefort is SALTY).

I have wanted to give up red meat many times. Stilton sauce on steak means it will probably never happen.

When I lived in Hong Kong, my coworkers had a great time trying to gross the gwaipo out with local delicacies (snake soup, raw octopus etc). When I had everyone round for wine and cheese no one could believe I would serve something so DISGUSTING as stilton. They seem to regard blue cheese with the same revulsion as most Westerners have for chicken feet. It was my revenge for being made to eat the raw octopus..

Oh I'll tell ya, I don't like KFC, but made the mistake last year on going into one here in the Mid West.

They have disgusting things like chicken gizzards and chicken livers/kidneys/hearts, all deep fried and crispy coated.

Oh my bloody yuk.

I don;t go into them often but I have NEVER seen any stuff like that on the menu.....

Well, come to my particular area of Indiana and I'll treat you to some. It's VERY common around here and pretty popular.

that might be a regional thing - they love that sort of thing down south. My mother, for example, who delighted in the fact she never had to share the gizzards.

Yup, just found this:

While the buffets vary from unit to unit, items include pieces of KFC Original Recipe and Extra Crispy chicken, chicken-fried steak, livers and gizzards, green beans, niblet corn, hominy, chocolate and vanilla pudding. Fruit cobblers also are being offered at franchise units.
