I forgot to mention this but today, my fiancee made a phone call to CSC to ask them for the status of our package then she said she cannot tell.

But she gave him an advice "just wait 90more days... (!)" I hope we are patient enough to wait just for NOA1 for 90 more days!!

What all think about this? Should we just wait 90 more days as she advised? If we do, it will be 4months total for receiving NOA1.

I wrote my congress rep. Just to ask them to check with the CSC to see if this will be a pattern for my petition or if this is just a one time snag.

They have been talking with the CSC to find it in the mail room. I gave them my USPS tracking #. I should hear back today or tomorrow. Even if they cant find it I still might wait a week or two before re-filing JUST in case it does show up somewhere.

This is so frustrating because until we get a NOA1 we have nothing to really reference with the CSC.

hey whats going on?im starting getting worried about this?i havent heard or received anything from USCIS.i hope that everything is ok...

i havent got any NOA1 or what ever im suppose to be receiving from the mail?i used certified mail and i know this received it i got the card back that i filled up before i mailed it.so whats going on,anyone help me explain to me...

Try to relax. Many people have tried to help you. Please take a moment and read the whole thread....

I'm having the same problem on my I-485 filed August 19th 2007. On my I-129, I got my NOA1 in 10 days. But for my I-485, I've been waiting almost 3 weeks, no check cashed and no letter received. Then I come onto this forum and see lots of posts about a sudden spike in NOA1 delays. I hope that's the explanation, because I'd hate to file a 2nd time or worse have our K1 expire.

I'm checking my bank account each day to see if they've cashed my check, but no luck so far. Until I came to this forum I was convinced they simply lost my mail.

Me too. We filed my husband's I-485 which arrived on Aug 15 to the Chicago processing center. No NOA1, no check cashed. Same thing - My I-129F prompted a NOA1 in like 2 weeks. I know there is a huge backlog, but I am confused because the USCIS website says they have COMPLETED processing on apps received up through Aug 15 as of Sep 7. As anyone who filed an I-485 after Sep 10 received an NOA1 or had their checks cashed?

I guess its no surprise that the answer I am getting is to re-file. They said they can't find it in the mailroom. And it has me somewhat concerned but hopeful that its hiding on someones desk and will just pop into the system any day.

I'm in the same situation as you are. I figure there must be a box somewhere with our petitions in. One positive thing is that they will queue us according to the received date when (if) they do find the applications.

We also filed our I-130 on August 14; it was received by Vermont on August 15; we still have not received the NOA1. The USCIS is ONLY working on applications received on or before July 29, 2007 at the present time.

Please refer to the uscis.gov website to get the latest information on the receipt processing dates. Hopefully some August filers will begin to see their receipt notices (NOA1) this week because as you will see from Vermont's timeline, it says 7/29; however, this is the date of the oldest I-130 they are processing.

Please follow this website so that you will be relaxed and not freaking out. I know it is hard to wait because we also check our bank accounts each day and nothing. However, PLEASE DO NOT refile as your applications are there. Just wait a little bit longer.
