Hello to you,

We have same interview dates and medical exam but your so lucky coz you have it all already for the pocket! How you search it online? my fiance already called US state and said Mnl already mailed the pocket to me last aug. 10. 2007. I am from cebu city and until now the pocket not yet arrive and it is already two weeks since they mailed it.

Do I need to call the embassy or just my fiance will do it? pls help me and if you have a contact number or person i can contact and talk in the embassy I just want to make sure that the pocket will arrive safe in my home.

But for my interview date we are planning to do it later date oct. 8 coz my fiance will be coming here in cebu arrive oct. 5 in the evening it is possible we can change it into later dates?

..I don't have the packet yet from the USE.. I tried calling them since yesterday but I can't get through to check if they already received our petition from NVC so I decided to just check and entered our case number online .... http://usembassy.state.gov/posts/rp1/wwwh3023.html ... to see if I already have my appointment dates..and so surprised I got it! Well, what u have to do now.. is WAIT - hope you'll have the packet very soon... (me too) hehehe .. Regarding to your question about having your interview later than your assigned date.. for what I've read.. you can but i don't know if how long you'll wait again for the interview... and for the hotel --I suggest you just stay to those along Roxas Blvd or Malate (near the USE and St. Lukes)....

usually, packet 4 arrives a month before ur appointment so, dont worry about it.

u can't change the date ur own. the embassy will tell you when is your next appointment. it will be a month or more later than ur sched.

i suggest not to, just be in the interview without ur fiance.

Hello Key. You can call SLEC to request for a packet pick-up. SLEC will request this from USEM and will call you when it will be available. So when you go to SLEC to pick-up the packet, you can also go ahead with your medical.

You or your fiance can re-schedule your interview but if he's coming on Oct. 5, then he will probably not be here for the re-scheduled interview because interviews are usually scheduled 2 months after the request (mostly). If you feel you are ready for the interview and you have all the documentations, financial documents and proof of relationship, then might as well proceed with the interview rather than postponing and waiting another 1-2 months or more for the next schedule. But if you and your fiance are willing to wait for another months or so, then you can call and re-schedule at the USEM. If he will be coming here on Oct. 5, he is not allowed to stay for more than 21 days (if he decides to wait for your next schedule), and he will have to apply extension of stay at the BID in Manila.
