Hi everyone,

My packet was sent on 8/10 so I am glad this this phase is finally complete. What will happen next? Will I be contacted when they receive it, or will I not be contacted until they need more info or approve the petition? I guess I am a little nervous because I sent it from VT, but I used a FL return address-hope this does not confuse anything...

thanks,

cody

You should be getting a Notice of Action (NOA1) in the mail...there seems to be a delay so some people are not getting it for a few weeks. It will have your case number on it and the receipt date. Alternately, if you paid by check, you could track the check to see when it is cashed and get your case number from the back of the check.

Once you have the case number you can register on the USCIS website for updates and track your case. You can also sign up for e-mail updates so that they will e-mail you get an RFE (hopefully not) or an approval.

Good luck to you Cshaw101! You are one of a few August filers that I've seen here on VJ. I think you will be one of a few since everyone tried to beat the price increase. Yeah, I didn't realize until it was too late for that price increase--craziness. All I really care about it having everything go smoothly. What an insane price increase though
