Hi,

Near the bottom of the G-325A form, there's a box that says "This form is submitted in connection with an application for".

Looking at the sample documents on this site (for the beneficiary), my fiancee checked "Other" and specified "I-129F".

I had my lawyer look through the paperwork, and she changed this to "status as permanent resident".

But on my (petitioner) G-325A, the "other" box was checked with I-129.

I've already sent in my petition but i'm just wondering will this raise any red flags?

I think you should be fine,if they possibly do have an issue they will send you an RFE.

I myself checked the box"other" and wrote I129F.

That proves again the lawyers are not the best of help sometimes...

I also put I129F. I mean, her real intent should be to come here to marry, not status as a permanent resident. In fact, putting that down would seem strange if you think about it. They know a I129F is for marriage and after AOS they will be granted a green card and you are only filling out the biography for the petition.

They might look past this if everything else is in order. Or the worst that can happen is an RFE that will take an extra 10 days or so. Probably no big deal.

Most folks put, "Other" and specify "I-129F". This is correct. The initial purpose is to arrive as a fiancée with the full attend to marry. The intention is NOT to come a permanent resident. At least not YET! ;)

Whether of not this will cause a RFE is unclear. It really depends on the caseworker. I am thinking, it will not be a biggie.
