HI EVERYONE !

When a case is complete does NVC send you a letter saying that your case is complte and thus it is forwarded to the Embassy YOU have to call NVC to check about it ??

Yes, they do send you a letter informing you that the completed case was sent to the consulate, with the consulate's address.

I-130 (IR1) Timeline

03-26-07 -- I-130 sent to VSC

09-20-07 -- Permanent Resident

N-400 Timeline

09-20-10 -- N-400 sent to Dallas lockbox

09-24-10 -- Check cashed

09-27-10 -- NOA received

10-07-10 -- Biometrics letter rec'd (appointment for 10/19/2010)

10-15-10 -- Biometrics done (walk-in at Alexandria, VA facility)

10-23-10 -- Another Biometrics letter rec'd (1st fingerprint set unusable according to FBI; appointment for 11/19/2010)

10-25-10 -- 2nd Biometrics done (walk-in at Alexandria, VA facility)

10-26-10 -- Called FBI: Second fingerprint set okay

11-20-10 -- Yellow letter received

01-26-11 -- Interview letter received

03-01-11 -- Interview (Civics test passed, but "Decision cannot yet be made" -- Docs missing)

03-25-11 -- Oath letter received

04-18-11 -- Oath Ceremony -- USC

I called the NVC and the automated system said the date when it was completed. Then I spoke to a live person to find out about our interview and then the automated message was changed on Friday saying that the case had been fowarded to the embassy.

Either way, you can call the NVC and talk to a live person to give you more info instead of having to wait for the letter to arrive.

07/06/09 - I-751 sent to CSC

08/14/09 - Biometrics

09/27/09 - Approved

10/01/09 - Received 10 year green card

U.S. Citizenship

03/30/11 - N-400 sent via Priority Mail w/ delivery confirmation

05/12/11 - Biometrics

07/20/11 - Interview - passed

07/20/11 - Oath ceremony - same day as interview

Diana,

I noticed that you received your packet 4. Did it contain the appointment letter? I called and spoke to an NVC operator who told me that I would receive the appointment letter also, so that I can Fed Ex it to my husband. I don't trust anything that they say now. I would feel better hearing from someone else.

BTW, the message still has not been updated on the system and as I said earlier I haven't even received our packet 4. That's so lovely of them considering they gave us an interview right around the corner. :(

1/17/07: Filed I130

1/26/07: NOA 1

4/9/07: NOA 2

5/22/07: Received DS3032/AOS bill

5/22/07 Sent choice of agent email

5/23/07: Paid AOS fee

6/7/07: Received IV bill

6/8/07: Paid IV bill

6/10/07: IV bill received by NVC

06/15/07: Sent I-864 Packet to NVC

6/28/07: Mailed DS230

7/16/07: Case complete!

Interview: 9/6/07@8:00 a.m.

9/7/07 Visa in hand!!

11/15/07: Green Card Arrives
