Well for all you readers out there I finally got all the paper work out yesterday! Thank God! For all you guys/gals out there that is just starting like I am, The Service Centers for I-129F Apps have changed. Print out the instructions sheets for the I-129F form and double check where you have to mail it. I had a copy of the instruction sheets that I printed in JULY and my service center was listed as TEXAS because I live in Florida. However, since the new fees went into effect, my service center for the I-129F application is now Vermont.

I love this website and from all your postings you guys/gals have helped enormously with filling out the forms. So I want to say a big THANK YOU! And thanks to Maleena and CShell for being especially supportive!

Also, I am updating my timeline. If we can all do that it will give us a better understanding on how the embassy in Guyana really works and REALLY - how long it usually takes on average for them to assign an interview date. Because I read a lot of your postings, I decided that I will travel to Guyana for my fiance's initial interview. It seems they like toying with us so why not nip that one in the butt right away!

Anyway, now I can only wait until I hear from Vermont. Wish us luck!

Thanks again -

Hi ,

I'm so glad to hear that you will be attending to interview with your fiance , i'm so sure it will be worth it , becuz i was in a position where my fiance didn't attend my first interview and we had to wait 8 months for another interview , so plz my advise to u is that , plz try your best to be with him on the day of the interview , also be prepared cuz the CO can ask you or your fiance anything outrageous . Best of Luck , Pray daily that everything will work out the way u want it to

This is what happen to me ( plz I don't want it happen to someone else)

My first interview at the Guyana Embassy (25/Oct/2006)

Issued A 221g on the same day because my fiance wasn't there with me

We had to wait 8 months just to get another interview done

We attend the joint interview on (8/June/2007)

And the CO told us that our case will be put on A/R.

Almost 3 months and no call from them :crying:

PLZ BE WISE AND DON"T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU CUZ IT HAPPEN TO ME

Hey Minni - Well when I first found VJ and saw the handful of people that filed in the Guyana Consulate and after reading their journey notes, it really looks like the embassy in Guyana calls the guyana citizen in for the interview and never notifies them that the petitioner or us citizen needs to be there. and then they automatically reschedule for 6 months down the road. that's why i said it seems like they are playing games. that's why i decided to go once we know when he is given an interview date. imagine i just started this and i'm already fed up!
